DotA Helper Install Guide

To use modifications, you will first need to download the Mod Manager

Once you have downloaded that, extract it to a folder. It is not important where it is, just as long as you remember where or create a shortcut. Run the Manager to create a mod folder in your Heroes of Newerth directory. When you run the program, it will ask you if you would like to associate .honmod files with the mod manager. Allowing this will enable you to simply double click a honmod to automatically place it in your mods folder.

Next, you will need to download the DotA Helper mod itself

Once downloaded, simply double click the file to install the mod if you allowed the Manager to associate itself with .honmods. If you did not do so, navigate to your Heroes of Newerth install folder, then go to the game folder. In there you will find the mods folder or you will have to create it if you haven't run the manger yet. Place the .honmod file there.

If you double clicked the file to install it, the mod manager should automatically open itself. Otherwise, open the manager manually after installing the mod. You should see an icon with an X in the corner with the title 'DotA Helper' next to it. Double click it to enable the mod and then go to '''File''' -> '''Apply Mods'''. You will now have the DotA Helper mod installed.

If at any time you would like to disable the mod, simply open the manager again, double click the DotA Helper to disable it, and then click Apply Mods again.
