Dear Suggestions Members,
Our forum has undergone a huge overhaul!

• Our dear Excalibur has decided to focus his attention on the Off Topic forums. We wish him luck as he vanquishes the scum there! This also means that you should stop PM'ing him about suggestions, as he has enough on his hands being a global moderator.
• Please update yourself on the updated rules and new suggestions progression system here. Things will be running slightly differently, so be sure to update yourself on the newest developments.
• In addition, all suggestions with no replies since August 1st have been moved to the Archive. If you want a suggestion moved back out, PM me. I will be moving and clearing out old suggestions monthly. In addition, I will be regularly checking for invalid polls and moving them to the Archive. Due to the sheer volume of topics I must move, I cannot PM everyone individually, so keep an eye out!
• Finally, we are recruiting judges. If you'd like to try out, fill out an application here. Be forewarned--I am a big stickler for spelling and grammar!

As we are in a transitioning period, things may be funky and out of place. Thanks for bearing with it!

Dear Suggestions Members,
One-to-one (121) ports are no longer allowed. 121 ports offer very little creativity outside of thematic changes, while the majority of people vote on 121 ports to bring them over to HoN without even reading the topic. In addition, 121 ports are already ineligible for Top Suggestions, as that space is reserved for original creations. S2 is highly unlikely to come to us for theme alone, and as our job is to filter out the best ideas for S2 to consider, there is no reason to continue to allow 121 ports.

Dear Suggestions Members,
Idejder has spoken! In terms of custom content, what HoN needs most right now is ranged agility. Items would be a help too! And just to reiterate, the devs do look at the suggestions forums for ideas. Now get to work!

NinjaPants will be assisting me as a mod. Thread moving, topic title renaming and that sort of stuff should be directed to him.

After some serious thought and calculations, we [the mod team] have recalculated the poll requirements to only 50 total votes, but with an 87.5% approval rating.

In addition, private polls are now forced.
We've made this decision for a few reasons:

• The vB forum software doesn't allow polls to be changed from private to public, but it does allow the opposite.
• Public polls were being abused for revenge votes.
• Public polls kept people from voting their intentions.

If you have an old thread with a private poll in the archive you would like to be moved, post it here. Current public polls will be converted to private slowly as the moderators get through them one-by-one. Thanks for your patience--this will be the last time polling rules change. Poll change requests go in the aforementioned thread too. We may tweak the values for a thread to become eligible for popular suggestions once we see the effects of this change.

We have also changed the tier system with the complete removal of judges! There is now no longer a third tier. Besides, who knows what they want better then S2 themselves?

We feel that these changes will better separate the good ideas from the bad in this new partitioned environment. (Where threads get less views, but more ideas. This change is effective immediately, but will not affect threads that are already in Popular Suggestions. We thank you for sharing your ideas, and apologize for any inconveniences this may create.

S2 is going to try something completely new with us!

• Idejder has made a thread here for a hero concept S2 is currently considering. Read it over closely, analyze the hero in terms of the metagame impact, and be sure to provide constructive criticism.
• In addition, we've made some changes to the polling rules lately, so be sure to read them over as well.
• Finally, a new project has been started. This will be a pan-suggestions mod, currently in the planning stages. Please go here for more information--we currently need coders!

DREAM and the Future of Suggestions
As you all have undoubtedly seen, DREAM is here, and as you may imagine, Suggestions will be seeing a lot of changes in the near future.

DREAM, for the uninitiated, will be the new portal to all things suggestions when it's complete. However, right now, only the hero builder is complete (albeit bugs still remain). Yet as DREAM becomes more robust, the Suggestions forum will slowly be whittled down. Fear not though, as I've been in close contact with the S2 team in procuring as many features as possible for DREAM, and I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that this will be the single greatest implementation of an integrated community that's been created for any game ever made. So while the suggestions forums will eventually be a shadow of its current self, feel assured that DREAM take up its mantle and do so much more.

It's been an enjoyable and wild ride for the almost-year or so that I've headed suggestions, and it's been absolutely rewarding for both HoN as a game and us as a community. On behalf of the entire suggestions moderation staff, thank you for your continued participation!
