Isn't stat reset like $5 dollars? surely if you've had an anniversary she deserves something more than $5 dollars. Regardless this is how you kill two birds with one stone. Tell her you bought her this game (she will be thrilled trust me!) and then have her play on your account for a bit then use the money to reset the stats after she gives up after geting called a noob and cries in her room. Don't comfort her or it will make you look stupid for getting the gift, its her fault for not loving your game.
