Sye's Andromeda Guide - old discussion

my only suggestion is that, once they fix aurora to give vision, get it at lvl 8. it lets you swap people that think you cant see them.

edit: also, posthaste/enhanced marchers are > steamboots. shes a ganker/support, not a carry. her str gain is high enough that she doesnt need str boots.

Fixed xD. Much better for vision purposes (incoming ganks, spotting enemies, etc.), especially if you're roaming early game.

Looking good so far, pretty much how I play.

Except, I start with stats at level 1 if i solo as it is very rare situations where lv1 stun is needed. If im laning with another stunner or slower, then level 1 stun would be good, or just hold off choosing until you see what heroes youre facing. Nothing big.

Starting items, i always get bottle (solo mid) or 2 duckboots, 1 pretenders crown and one runes of blight. This means, at the very start, i already have +10 agi.

Stats are nice but i think most of the time aurora or the aura is better to be gotten earlier (than left to late game). Early game domination.

Surviving with str steamboots is a matter of what youre facing (as is when to choose 2nd & 3rd skills) so you should make a note of that. Post haste is just a waste of gold.

After this early game of steamboots + 2 soulscream rings:
    (in no particular order)
    - Slash
    - Riftshards
    - Whispering Helm
    - Wingbow

Bottle is also very useful, for illusion and stealth runes.

Well I'm actually not soloing mid, even though i would prefer it

If you have different team sizes in mind, like 3on3, then my item setup is a bit different as well - due to more gold.
But i guess I would need for posts underneath each other so the readers do not lose the overview.

Vengeful Spirit level 1 roamer ftw in DotA. She owns. Rune luck & ally coordination are huge factors for a successful level 1 VS roam though.

And yeah I don't start roaming at level 2. I start at level 1!

Don't build her as a carry, if you want a carry pick someone like swiftblade or nighthound. Your skillbuild is correct but don't get soulscreams, get fortified bracelets or talismans of exile, enhanced marchers and a bottle. Then get a portal key, after that maybe shrunken head or kuldra if you still have money, not likely considering how much you die in teamfight swaps.

My item build on Andro is this:
Pretenders crown x2, runes x2, mana pot x1
    Marchers
    Mana tube
    Post haste recipe
Blessed Orb/Acolyte's staff (for Totem of Kuldra)
Staff of the Master or Wingbow, depending on the game

I find Totem of Kuldra to be a very useful item for ganking and team fighting.

Well thats the common tactic but my guide works incredible well for me. This is why i thought that I should share it with other testers.

    She's quite versatile tbh
Carry/ganker when enemy team is lacking heavy nukers/disables: pick any dps item (i prefer shield breaker) - with her aura and armor reduction any damage item scale very good.
Initiator/ganker: 2-3 braser, enh marchers, alot of wards, some escape item afterwards: assasin or portal. Travel with company and swap whenever you see enemy hero.
Better if you find tempest or magmus or behemos or anyone else, who will own your team in 5vs5.

Her aura increases base damage so it only scales with the heroes level.

The damage gained from the hero's primary attribute granted by items will still receive the % increase from the aura

Yes. If it was a strength hero, the strength gained from Behemoth's Heart would also be affected by the aura, and etc.

the nice thing of andomeda is his "playstyle" you can play here in different ways...

    Sometimes my skill build:

    1: Comet
    2: Stats
    3: Link
    4: Stats
    5: Link
    6: Ult
    7: Stats
    8: Link
    9: comet
    10: Link

    What i do:

Tele an enemy into your team, when they rush you or you rush them. Most of the time. The player tries to get back to his group. You do the same thing

As soon as you are in range for comet, stun him. And you team do the rest...

After this. Your comet is ready again and you team could start to fight. Most of the time. The enemy is highly surprised, that they start to react after there teammate is killed And with the stats, and some hp items you survive, if the enemy reacts quick enough, also enhanced marchers are a good idea to run away

Oh ****, my signature just vanished with Scout :/
