Don't magic armour and physical armour now give diminishing returns?
As in the jump from 5 to 10 gives more benefit than the jump from 10 to 15?
EDIT: Thread title is misleading now. It really should be: Are the linear EHP equations now redundant.
http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/sh...ad.php?t=12545
It has always been like that.
it's still linear, if it was like you said it would be exponential, as 0% reduction to 50% reduction(15 armor) is halfing all damage(doubling your effective health), if another 15 gave you 100% reduction you would have infinite health(making your effective health infinite), what it does is it makes your effective health go up 6% of your current life for every 1 armor, so while yes your health goes up linearly the effectiveness of each point of armor goes down because the higher your EHP the less 6% of your health means
And I'm in this thread to say EHP isn't redundant.
Each point of armor increases EHP linearly by 6% (assuming >0 armor to >0 armor).
Each point of armor diminishes only with respect to damage reduction, but not to EHP
