Newerth League?s kickoff tournament signups are now open. We expect spots to fill quickly, so have your team created ((http://newerthleague.com/register/team.php)) and registered ((http://newerthleague.com/register/teamEvent.php?id=1)) as soon as you can. Signups are on a first come basis for the first 24 teams!
Tournament Information:
Start Date: July 23rd, 2010
End Date: July 29th, 2010
Prize: $500 Winner Takes All ? Sponsored by S2 Games
Format:
- 24 Teams
- 6 randomized groups of 4 teams each. Round robin, Best-of-1 series
- Top 2 teams from each group will advance to the round of 16
- Third place from each group will form two groups of three teams. Round robin, Best-of-1 series
- Top 2 teams from each group will advance to the round of 16
- Round of 16 and quarter finals will be played in a Best-of-1 series
- Semi-finals and finals will be played in a Best-of-3 series
Additional Information:
All games will be played through NL?s system using Tournament Mode
A NL referee must be present in games taking place from the Round of 16 to the Finals
In the event of a tie during the group stage, the following steps will be taken to decide a winner:
- Higher team KDR of tournament games
- Head-to-head result
- Higher team ADR of tournament games
- Decision by a panel of NL staff

You're trying to create multiple teams. You can only be a part of one team at a time.

Yeah I got the confirmation, there was just a lot of wonky stuff happening with user registration when my teammates were signing up a while back. Hopefully that's all cleared up now.

I don't like KDR being used as a tiebreaker... seems like it would encourage early conceding. It should at least be secondary to head-to-head result.

It is actually head-to-head used first. Just a misplacement error on our part.
Tie-breakers in order will be: HtH, KDR, ADR, Vote.

I have to drive up to LA friday for my nephew's birthday and attend said birthday, so if you guys have even a rough estimate for match times that would help a lot.
are we allowed to reschedule matches? Our first game is at 4pm on a friday... me and most of my team will still be at work then
