If the second part of showdown activates on valk (pulling the enemy back) in the middle of her leap, she will not be pulled back.
Valkyrie is bound to a projectile, so this is pretty normal behavior. Since it only moves the hero (not the hero and the projectile), she is instantaneously moved back to the position of the projectile, which is plotting her leap path.
I believe it's more of a question of whether the behavior is intended or not. I'll see if I can find out. Thanks for your report.
HoN really needs to get their projectile mechanics polished if they hope to fix this then, because it has to be consistent with the other projectiles as well

I believe the same thing happens with magebane's (and therefore hag's?) blink. Albeit a much more rare occurrence as timing is a huge issue.
