I've been trying to maximize how much of the screen is taken up by mods without taking away functionality of late. I haven't yet found a neat team ui that only shows what I would see is necessary and doesn't take up too much room. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in having a shot at making a team ui like this:
Let me know what you think.

i think there should be a button next to hp and mana to hide/show the skills
I agree. This would be a great idea and a great step towards something even more simplistic.
hmm, what if you put the L18 on the potrait itself.
Reduced the potrait slightly and moved the 18% 30% on top of it.
and then made it like this 18/30 %
wow, seems awesome, maybe on the hero icon it could also show the hero's gold and it would be perfect.
*plix someone use the concept, exactly this one! (thread poster)*
Posted version 2. Let me know what you think. I have slimmed it down even further, moved health and mana above smaller picture. Moved level over the picture (could be hard to read on some heroes).
*Added about 5 more versions

Version 5 is exactly what I had in mind
Version 5 looks great.
But in my opinion, make the text red for those abilities that are on cooldown, so that you can just have a quick glance and see if it's on cooldown or not.
People will look at the icon first, then the levels (to see the status of the spell), then the actual timer.
It's best to keep the timer one color, since it's starts getting confusing when something ticks down and changes color. At least from my past gaming experience.
So, now that we all know which one we like, is there anyone game enough to take it on? Anyone have some free time and some epic skills?
Anyway, I had some time and made it. Is this close enough?
I'll leave it to you to judge how well it looks and works when it's actually in-game.

-all setting changes require game restart (or 'reloadinterface game')
Plague Rider and Torturer have spells on cooldown, while Demented Shaman has a shortage of mana and Swiftblade is busy spinning and is thus silenced.

wow... very nice job Silv3ri very epic .
but if you could change the font mb :P
Actually, I don't think I can. I don't think the game can use anything except the default font. That was definitely my biggest problem in trying to get the end result looking exactly like the picture - I had to make things larger because the default font is just too wide.
Wow. Very nice silv. You do have epic skills
