I have a paper on how I use math every day. I'm thinking Heroes of Newerth, so would someone mind linking me to a thread with lots of math so I can plaster it on a poster? things involving percentages and complicated stuff will look much better.
Or, if someone knows a really mind boggling thread about dota mechanics or something, I could use that too and translate it into HoN speak.
Thanks in advance.

Everytime you're in a car you use math! How many miles you are driving calculating your gas milage etc. etc. Even your speed is math!
FIRST Robotics ftw!
I use math when im walking up and down stairs, but thats just me (im a bit mad oho)
Btw you have 12 steps in your home!
1 - (1-x)(1-y)(1-z)... is the general formula for % stacking
You want math? Go to the DA Mechanics Guide section and there's tons of threads with LOTS of math. Have fun!

prove that you can divide any Quadrilateral to 4 equal parts with 2 lines.
its incorrect but fun if u dont know how math works.
x=y
2x=2y
2x-2y=0
x-y=0
2x-2y=x-y
2(x-y)=1(x-y)
2=1
WTF omfg logic explosion
damageX attackspeed X (health X armor)= level of autoattack pwnage
Freezing Field, Crystal Maiden's Ultimate from DotA, once used a sine and cosine function to determine the placement of the 40 random Frost Nova blasts that occur over 4 seconds in a square coordinate system centered around Rylai Crestfall. The analysis performed by forum contributors to determine the probability density distribution of the Frost Nova blasts with respect to points on that coordinate system was by far the most complicated mathematical analysis of any single DotA-related mechanics issue.

ln means the natural logarithm of a number, that is, log base e.
Holy ****.
If I got up in front of the class and tried to explain that, I would make an ass of myself because I do not understand any of that. Alg II kthx.
Also, my teacher would come in her pants then expect me to ace every test in .3 seconds, if she even believed it. :P
I think I'll just write out some choppy, simple formula about stats at X level based on the base stat increase...
Anyone else have anything?
tl;dr: freezing field mindexplosion was too complicated, help me come up with something else.
Do a project on PSR. Include some research about other systems like Trueskill and ELO. Guaranteed A+
Heroes Of Newerth does all the calculations for you, from HP regen to Attack Cooldown.
In DotA, you have to do most of it manually.
Anyways, If you insist on writing about HoN, I'll gather some formulas you might wanna mention:
~ [Armor] to [Damage Reduction] Conversion:
0.06*[Armor]/(1+0.06*[Armor]) = [Damage Reduction].
Example: If the Armor is 10 ~> 0.6/1.6 = 37.5% damage reduction.
~ Attack Cooldown is: [Base Attack Cooldown]/(1+[Increased Attack Speed] = [Attack Cooldown]
Example: if a hero's Base Attack Speed is 1.7 seconds, and he has 70 Agility + 100 Increased Attack Speed. his attack cooldown would be:
1.7/(1+0.7+1) = 1.7/2.7 = 0.629 seconds.
You can calculate his attack rate by doing: 1/[Attack Cooldown]
The example above gives you 1.58 attacks per second.
~ Mana regen is: Each hero has his base mana regen {The one that is calculated before the boost of mana regen items}
Each Intelligence point gives you hero 0.04 MP/s, so 25 Intelligence Points gives him 1 MP/s.
Each 100% increases exactly the amount of the base mana regen per second.
Example: if a hero has 0.5 MP/s regen + 75 Intelligence point {3 MP/s} and has an Aura that increases the MP regen by 2, his base MP regen is 0.5+3+2 = 5.5 MP/s.
Let's say he has 300% MP regen boost, he will have 5.5 + 16.5 = 22 MP/s.
Those are just few of what you can look up.
I hope this was helpfuland Good Luck.
