Items:
Now this initial item build is to play mid solo. If you want to a BAMF hellbringer, you want to play mid solo. However, that is not the only way to play hellbringer, that?s the way this guide will be primarily addressing.
Initial Items:
If your team is awesome and buys wards and courrier! Plus you have balls and think you can handle mid solo without healing items until you get your bottle.
Cost: 593

Are you feeling less of a BAMF. You want healing items to start out with:
Cost: 159 + 185 + 90 + 100 = 534

Is your team a bunch of carrys and they won?t buy wards or courrier. Or are you laning? Then you should probably buy a courrier or wards:

Alright.
Item Progression
OR
You want bottle if your mid, you want a power supply if your laning.
Then:
Yeah that?s right. Your going to get tablet of commnad, that WTF is that force item. This item is awesome on hellbringer. Why:
1. It gives stats
2. It allows you to chase opponents.
3. It allows you to catch up to opponents
4. It allows you to initiate very easily.
5. It helps you run away.
This item is core on hellbringer. If your like OMG WTF Tablet of Command noob, you clearly have not tried it. Watch one of my replays with hellbringer and you will see its power.
This item is great. It not only gives you armor and more mana, but its damage reflection works great with your life void. You use this item, and you reflect 80% of the damage back, at an enemy. Then 40% of that damage will be returned to you healing you.
Really if you get these items, this is all you need. Hellbringer is great with them and he doesn?t need anymore for his role. If you have these items, you should be buying wards and focusing on the team. Don?t complain about how you need to save for ulti refresher. You don?t need it (though it is awesome if you get it)

I recommened get restoration stone and behemoth?s heart.
Laning
Do the whole last hitting thing. Push them back. Hellbringers got good base damage so with some totems, he should be fine if you don?t suck. I?m not going to give a detail?d guide on laning. If you are mid solo, which you should you should be saving up for bottle, and then boots. Ideally you?ll have both of these by the time you hit Level 6 and start ganking hard. Here are some more general tips though how to do well mid solo:
1. Get the runes. Try to push the lane at the 1:45s inorder so they are defending at tower while you go and get the rune.
2. Cast Death Boil on their hero to harass.
3. Use Life Void to heal yourself. You can cast life void on enemy units and you get health back for the damage they take. A good time to do this is at the beginning of when creeps come, or if the enemy is pushing your tower.
Ganking
Time for the grit of hellbringer. Once you hit level 6 you want to be ganking at every rune spawn. You want to learn the timing so you come in unoticed. Try to avoid creeps while coming in. Remember creeps hit the corners on the 28s andd the 58s. That will help you avoid them. Now here?s what ganking with your ulti will look like.
First: Cast Ulti on guy:
This will get him stunned and do damage giving you time to cast spells.
Then you want to cast everything you?ve got on him. Unholy Shackels Death Boil and Life Void.
If you are worried about him running away, cast Unholy Shackles First. Otherwise cast Death Boil and Life Void first. Then you want to unit walk and chase him down. Unit walking is when you attack and then run a bit, attack and then run a bit, as opposed to simply auto attacking.
Here are the rest for this gank:

Malaphas
As you can probably see from the pictures I did a bad job using malphas the demon. Its very hard to remember to use him to fight, but espeically in team fights, you want to control him. Use his fire breath. The firebreath does a lot of damage, is aoe, andis magic, so it works well with your life void. Malphas also gives 100/150/200 gold to enemies for killing him, so if you can try not to let him die. However, if their whole teams focus fires on him, that's good for you. Diffusal Blade and electrician can dispell him as well.
From there you probably have an advantage on the lane, and should push it. Then you tp back to base, get full health and mana. Go mid. Kill some stuff. Wait for your ulti to be back and repeat.
Also, you can also gank without your ulti, but its not nearly as effective.
Also, why is tablet of command so good here. Just great for getting to enemy heroes so you can cast unholy shackles on them when your chasing them. Here?s a screenshot:
Oh and here?s me getting away from a corrupted disciple with tablet later on:
Team Fights
Team fights is where hellbringer in my opinion really shines. Hellbringer is an initiator. With an ulti with a ridiciulous AOE, he can be a great stunner. However, Ideally you want a hero like accursed to be out in front, and hellbringer will come in and pounce on all the other heroes once they start pounding on accursed. However, that might not always work with good players.
I?m only going to put one scree shot in this part, but basically team fight very similar to the way you gank.
1. Ult first
2. Death Boil heroes
3. Life Void heroes
4. Activate your barbed armor if you have it
5. Use Malphas Fire burn
6. Cast Unholy Shackles on a carry or hero running away
7. Attack some guys
8. Repeat if necessary
Also, if your enemy is far away you can use the tablet of command to push yourself in and then ult.
Then if you have your armor by now, put that on. Unholy shackles their carry to lower his attack speed. If you are winning chase down your opponents.
That is generally it. Now you have everything you need to know to Be a BAMF Hellbringer. Please comment and make suggestions. Thank you. Also, this guide was orginally posted on my website. If you want to view it there, here is the link: Hellbringer Guide

You don't get the slow first? A minimal DoT vs an escape/punishing mechanism seems lackluster.
I dont know what i think about this guide so ....
But you should mention malphas fire breath. In all your pictures of ganks and teamfigths you dont use it (malph full mana) but its very very very strong early game and since its magic damage it scales with your life void.
Edit: Ohh you mentioned it. But it should be more then this small hin when you describe the order of every skill you use in your guide.
I used to always get unholy shackles first, but then they reduced it to 20%, and now I don't. Its a legitament option. Try to think what your team needs more, dps or slow.

I see hellbringer all the time in upper level games but not much info on him.
Maxing slow before life void in any case is a bad choice.
Tablet ain't core, more of a highly situational item.
7 pictures of huge size in a row? make them smaller? O_o
no table of content, no pros & cons, no stats, no item prices, no coloured text, no indent...
Very long way to go before this guide is good.
Lol. Is there a better one out there? I just searched the heroes name and this is what came up.
