    Assists ?

I have a small Question about assists?
Do assists reward you in game with anything ? Or is it just who gets the kill gets the full gold and xp?

I only know the reward system in Savage 2 were the xp and gold is calculated by the dealt damage, in a short time period before kill, with a bonus (think its 20%) to the killer.

This system is realy great in my opinion but in this game it looks like who gets the kill gets all.
I hope iam not correct or this will be changed in the future.

p.s pls dont Troll me with "you are talking rubish because sth. was ..... or .... in dota"

You get gold and XP, aswell as a fancy number increase.

Not full gold mind you. I think it's up to 80g/kill, maybe more if there is a bounty on the player (he has a killing spree etc).

    * Players within a 1000 radius of an enemy hero kill will receive 12 * Enemy Level in experience and 30 + 5* Enemy Level in gold

    Read the patch notes.

I think it can probably be improved over time to include people who have used spells on the target.

So those doing damage and casting spells affecting the target would get more xp while those just in proximity will get less.

You have to reward disables as well not just damage.

I think its weird that we get gold from a destroyed tower when we are dead but not when we get an assist on a kill

What's the calculation around whether an assist is granted? Is it just within a 1000 radius or does damage dealt within time before the kill count too?

You only get an assist when you do damage to the target before he dies, so say you had a DoT on him and someone last hits while your in base you get the assist even if your on the otherside of the map. Being in the area of the kill only grants you exp, no gold or assist.

Quick edit: You dont get xp from assist if your on other side of the map, you still need to be in range for xp.

From what I've seen, the assist and gold aren't linked. I've gotten bonus gold just by standing near a kill I didn't touch and got none for assists I had to back off of/died before the kill.

I think you wouldn't get an assist for that dori. Im pretty sure its based off damage though the aura from soul reaper doesnt give assists from what I heard.
