How to fix the problem with leavers!

I just had another game where we right from the begining lost a key player. The frustrating thing is the cocky other team who refuse to remake.

I wont play this game no more until S2 fixes the remake function and this problem. I think others should join me.

So you're comparing leaving a game to leaving a battleground in wow? If you get banned for 1 hour in HoN, you can't do anything else in the game. In wow you can even with deserter debuff. Alot of stuff.

Well if youve read how the thread have evolved you'd see that this could be an option that you add to your server such as noleaver, stats/nostats etc.

So if you make the choice to play on a server with such rules you should be able to take the consequences dont you think?

Im bumping the thread. The number of votes in favour of taking actions towards leavers has increased and the problem should be adressed.

I just had two games in a row where people left during the opening of the game. No leavers ofc.


One we played 3v5 the other we played 4v5 with 3 melee and one range. NICE ONE!

I remember the time when my hard drive had a serious issue in the very middle of a game (and I was winning, and I was sooo great in this game). I faced a kernel panic, and then saw my system partition had become unusable - it was serious material issue, in that computer, Windows Vista and Seven also killed two hard drives (I shouldn't have installed thoses -_-' but well), and I lost 1Gb RAM.

After that, I was a leaver ! As if all those shiat and the fixing I had to do wasn't enough yet !
Yeah, a leaver, as I also faced some Heroes of Newerth crashes (well, not really HoN, but sound system : sound in HoN can make the game very slow on my computer)... and sometimes I can't join back a game that I left, maybe because the reboot time were too long.

So yeah, leavers are boring.
But would you really like to be punished like you were one other motherfocker for something you didn't do ? After that I had to join regular games, with leaver... and there, the thing that mostly makes you win or lose is wheter the leavers are in your team or not. It was horrible. I became a true noob, with shitty stats. Horrible I say.

how about you consider the other FOUR PEOPLE ON THE TEAM. that ONE leaver made the other FOUR inevitably LOSE the game. those 4 paid for the game too btw, but the single person is definitely more important that his 4 teammates that he just screwed out of PSR, accurate stats, and time.

i voted yes, but maybe they could just implement this in 'no leaver' games so all the leavers can join the non-leaver games and leave their balls off without penalty.

Yes thats been mentioned in the thread and that is probably how it would be, an upgrade for the already existing "noleavers" that is **** atm.

Well, as i wrote in the summary. The dc time would be raised to 15 minutes. If it takes longer than 15 minutes for you to reconnect and if its a reocurring problem then you shouldnt be playing games other than nostats for your sake but mostly for others.

First of all we need to set an example for the leavers, since the "no leavers" function isnt working good enough. I say that we give leavers an one hour ban. Another variation of this could be to adjust the bantime to your leaving ratio, so if you have left alot of games your bantime will raise.
(This could also be reseted every 6 or 12 months, so that people get another chance, because everybody deserves another chance! )
