Quasar: Star-Born Law Man on the Hunt for the Fugitive Known As Andromeda
Well, what I also don't like is how the ultimate attacks the nearest hero on reaching location. The ultimate was FANTASTIC for getting away from ganks. Now it's not as good. It could help slow people running away, but the vector grab was already great for that.
And I totally agree with you on that.
Might've just been me, but is the ulti broken and won't launch at all? Only tried in Practice, though.
EM players as good as NM players? Check again! http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/sh...ad.php?t=71662

Just tested it again, and it travels the whole way, but you have to target at the maximum range otherwise the ulti just travels a tiny distance.
Btw it can be used to push back SB while using Blade Frenzy and maybe you'll end up saving someone

is his third spell attack modifier? it dosent say anything about it in the tooltip but it shows up in attack modifiers "list" above thh minimap.
On topic, the hook is too similar to devos hook
Heroes always had and will always have similarities between abilities. Gauntlet's hook is similar to devourers, but it has it's own distinctive use and role, something that can't really be said for Morph and Miniaturization.
Hook has twice the range of Grapple and deals damage. Grapple has more utility.
Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain.
And... most fools do.
I like him. I never did play the version before the revamped, though, so my opinion isn't worth that much.
I like how the hero plays though. Powering up his glove and then shooting it or just punching the **** out of something, it's pretty awesome. His charge up synergy is pretty sweat.
For the record, I haven't tested this new hero in other games than practice.
I have trouble seeing what role he fulfills. I think he is meant to be a ganker, but I just don't understand the concept of his 3rd ability in that regard... why is he punished for having high attack speed? The faster he attacks, the less useful his 3rd ability becomes as he never gets to properly recharge those charges. Be that as it may, his spells are bugged:
Infernal Instability does not give you any hint that its buff (the movement slow resistance) is active on you after you hit someone.
Grapple is bugged in that if you use it on max range, it doesn't continue moving 725 distance, it will only continue up to 725 distance, except if you have it max rank then you can use it up 1150 distance as per the tooltip. Edit; this was poorly explained, I'll try again; if you only got rank 1 and shoot it at max distance, the gauntlet will continue up to a distance of 725 in total, if you got a higher rank and click on maximum distance, it will not fly further.
Cripple is kinda strange as well... I tried giving a lvl 25 Gauntlet 6 warpcleft just to see what would happen if he had insane attack speed, here is what I found; he never got more than 1-2 charges as he kept pounding on poor Hammerstorm (with 6 behemoth hearts), however Hammerstorm initially got up to about 60 charges (from first attack), then dropped down to 25-26 charges no matter how long I kept pounding on him. He could still attack and move, so not just a tooltip error. Edit: What I'm wondering is, why does Hammerstorm have 25-26 charges when Gauntlet never gets more than 1-2 charges? And if its meant to increase the more gauntlet pounds on someone, why does it stop at 25-26?
The ultimate does not purge all buffs, I tested it with Hammerstorm (hellbourne side, i was legion side), I used both his ulti and galvanize then used Gauntlets ulti on him, Hammerstorm still had both his spells active. Sometimes it doesn't damage the enemy, I couldn't recreate this bug, but I clicked right next to my testdummy Hammerstorm and the gauntlet flew right past him without damaging him.
Hope this is useful to someone.

Cripple is designed to be this way on purpose as well. The stacks roll off and on constantly: 5 seconds after a specific charge has been applied to a hero, it will fall off, regardless of whether new charges were added. The reason you capped at around 26-27 after a short time is because he gains 5 charges a second, and they each last 5 seconds. It doesn't punish him for having a high attack speed, it just doesn't reward him either.
As for the other two, I have not noticed his ult not purging, but that's mostly because I've used it purely for the damage component. I have not, however, seen it fail to deal damage where it should. Also, the snare immunity is applied up until you hit someone, but not after.
Edit: Upon further inspection, I have noticed the ult fail to purge buffs. Very obviously a bug, or a case of a deprecated tooltip.

the range increases, but not the hook range(725 at all levels) but cast range(~500 at first and 1150 at 4th lvl)
just look at the picture below
im pretty sure you can find uses for this on your own
