I used to and then they added a new word to the filter that blocked it. The word was "Game"

I know I could do that and I used them in highschool but I get paid by these people. While I know nothing bad could come of it I don't want to be caught specifically subverting the rules. It's not something that would get me fired but it could prevent promotion kind of thing
If they are filtering down to the words then a proxy wont do anything you moron.

It can other people do them at work. I guess it's not actually a proxy. Essentially it takes the tags in the HTML and looks to see what the site is about if they contain certain tags it filters them. We can subvert it by using a site that lets you browse but takes other sites HTML and strips the tags.

SPI doesn't care if the traffic is directly to the website or through another server (proxy). Unless the traffic is encrypted SPI will identify any words found in its Lexicon. However, if they have some sort of word filtering I GAURENTEE he's not going to be able to open a secure tunnel to a proxy. HTTP proxys "may" get you there, however, most firewalls will see that the source and the FQDN don't match and filter that trash out.
