Hi,
I installed split chat, but with it I no longer get duplicate text?
For example if I type the exact same thing, it won't show up again twice. I presume it's the same if other players are typing the same thing more than once.
How to fix it?

Yes, this will happen with both Split Chat and Chat Redone. They will not show any chat text/game messages that are identical and immediately consecutive. Unfortunately there's no way I know of changing that, because it happens as a side-effect of how Bang! Lib Chat Parser works - and it's method is currently the only way of detecting chat messages in-game.


I also created a new mod:

Statusboard
Download: v0.1
Adds two movable panels that show hero icons, in a horizontal arrangement, for both teams:

• Shows level above icons
• Icons are always sorted by level (higher level towards the center - assuming legion left and hellbourne right)
• When a hero is dead, shows a respawn timer below
• Shows usual status icons like: disconnected, reconnecting, voting
• Has right-click menus with options for player-specific actions, like: sharing courier, add as friend, etc.
• Panels are movable

It's not well tested for games that are less than 5v5, and the right-click menu also needs lot of testing. Hopefully all works fine as-is, but post if you find any bugs.

I just fixed a serious bug with Statusboard, which caused a part of the screen to be unclickable. Updating to v0.1.1 is highly recommended. Thanks to Rapid` for finding and reporting it. Sorry for any inconvenience caused by it.

I have an issue with "chat redone" when I'm spectating a game. If I have played a game with some of the players before it replace their names by the hero they had in the previous game (not the current one, it's confusing). Other players are unchanged and display the player name instead of the hero name.

i have a problem with chat redone in another way that is doesnt display chat at all. it may be conflicting with another mod but i really dont play the game that much anymore/care enough to find out what it is.

Is there a way to have the right-click menus for Statusboard require you to be holding shift to open? I miss click the hero portraits from time to time moving north.

Mmmhh, that is quite a unique situation. I didn't consider problems that could happen when spectating. I'll see if I can find out why that happens.

If you upload your resources999.s2z (with Chat Redone enabled and your chat not working) somewhere I'll take a look and see if I can fix it.

Yip, just added that in Statusboard v0.2. Also, sorting players by level is now optional.

I couldn't replicate your problem at all . In fact, if I just directly replaced my resources999.s2z with yours, all the chat still worked. So I have no idea what could be wrong.

Concise Ally Unitframes is really great but can you add a gradient green to red 100/50/0 for quickly see low hp;
Same with mana, something like 100/50/0 ?

do you have a recommendation on how to install mana cooldown timers without java mod manager? (me newb)

edit: btw chat redone doesn't remove player names when they ping on target buildings (like meatball or towers)
