My friends and I play every night, and we play pubs cuz we don't have competitive friends/rivals to play against. We wanted to make a clan, but weren't sure if we should. As we see it, our PSR ranges anywhere from 1600-1750, and pubs join, see our PSR, and leave. We thought adding a clantag on our name would only make matters worse, and make it harder to find peopel to play against. I understand there are (granted very limited) leagues and tournaments for clans, so my question is this. What is the benefit(s) of making a clan, and do they outweigh the disadvantages listed above?
If it's big enough,
it's great to organize IH's.
And as the system improves, it'll make life much easier.
If you're only < 5 people, then I don't really see why you need a clan.
I wouldn't bother.
It's only profitable after a certain size.
Like he said, clans are only useful if they are big enough. If you can get 10 people online at any given time, that's a 5vs5 right there and you don't have to ever worry about leavers or disconnects.
if you're in a clan it gets rid of the annoying random channels you end up in after a game
OP's post was in 2009.
I don't think this thread needs to be continued.
On a positive note, it looks like the OP did make the clan he was talking about.![]()
