    Bloodhunter silence and Nullfire Blade.

    I'm not sure if this is a bug or if it is working as intended but Blood Crazy, when used offensively, can't be removed by Nullfire Blade purge OR :jera: Protective Charm.

    Specifically this happened last night while I was playing . A on the opposing team silenced me, and I could not go invisible. I then attempted to remove the spell using a charge on my Nullfire Blade and was unable to.

    I then created a practice game to see if there was any way to remove it. This is when I discovered that it is also not removed by Protective Charm from :jera:.

    Edit: Just made another practice game. You also can't remove Blood Crazy with Nullfire Blade if it is cast on or one of his allies. So as of now Blood Crazy, even though it is magic, can't be dispelled. Null Stone, however, does block the spell.

    Maybe it's considered as buff rather than debuff, so it doesn't get removed by debuff removers
    My most popular item suggestions:

    Thanks to Desirable for the Lelouch : )

    Blood Hunters 'Blood Crazy":

    Code:
    effecttype=""
    Nullfire Blade:

    Code:
    <dispel type="StatusBuff" />
                <playeffect effect="impact.effect" source="target_entity" target="" />
            </cantarget>
            <cantarget targetscheme="ally_units">
                <dispel type="StatusDebuff" />
    Nullfire Blade only removes debuffs and buffs from allies and enemies, respectively.

    However, Blood Hunter's Silence does not act as a buff or debuff; therefore it cannot be purged.

    Really? That doesn't make much sense to me. I could be missing something though. Protective charm DOES block the damage portion of the spell.

    I could understand if silences in general weren't able to be removed by purge/protective charm, but that is not the case. On further testing with every single hero I could think of with a silence, including Balphagore, can be purged by either Nullfire/ Ult or is removed when Protective Charm is cast on the silenced hero. The only other exception to this is Final Chapter, but that spell is Superior Magic. Blood Crazy is listed as just plain old magic, has a MUCH shorter cooldown, and isn't an ultimate.

    edit: fixed a typo

    It's stated as plain Magic because that's what the damage is, magic damage.

    However, it is un-removable by anyone, including Electricians purge.

    It's not a buff or debuff because it silences (debuff) but boosts base damage immensely (buff).

    Either way, explanation is provided and if you want it to be purge-able then that's for balance discussion.

    True enough. Thanks for the explanation.

    If it has a blue border on the buff/debuff icon, it is un-removable by anything.
    If it has a red border then it is removable.
    Anything that you think is unfair does not matter because:
    A) you have not searched the balance forums for the reasoning
    B) S2 doesn't care about what you think
    C) Your opinion doesn't matter
    D) All of the above.

    Everything but B) and D) is true because this is Mechanics. Your opinion matters in other forums (like Strategy/Balance/Suggestions) though.

    Anyway, having a blue border usually means the state is unremovable except if the state is a StatusStealth - then it can be removed via Morph/Miniaturization/Kuldra's Sheepstick.

    For further discussion about Balance/Strategy/Suggestions, post in the correct subforum.
