Player Hero: Pharaoh (clockwerk)
Pharaoh's second ability(W) is a bunch of encircling mummies(dota's cogs)
It is nothing more than a mere annoyance in HoN however. You can use Enhanced Marchers (phase boots) to escape the encircling mummies or Stealth through even while dusted/able to be seen. You take no damage and can walk through the mummies, or leave the trap without worry of taking damage or being trapped. This makes one of the unique entrapment / barricade abilities in HoN completely worthless. Allowing every hero easy access to being immune to one of Pharaoh's main aspects. Is this a bug or working as intended?
in dota you could phase to the other side of the cogs, but then get pushed and damaged away-- this is preferable (there needs to be a counter to it and forcing for phase boots is a perfect way)
however, going invis and running through it defeats the purpose of it
currently, pharaoh is an ugly model that isn't really distinguishable like the old clokwerk was. I would suggest turning it into an all out mummy whos ultimate is a bandage whip-type attack and cogs is a pyramid creator that functions like the current one
as well as changing it so they become "up-hill" when inside the cogs (top of the pyramid) so people outside the cogs can miss the people stuck up on the top level--giving cogs more of a use lategame as this hero's late-game could use some work
This is completely situational. Most of the time, people go for Steamboots rather than enhanced marchers. This also begs the question... Does this mean people shouldn't be able to use the portal key, homecoming stone, Magebane's blink or Kraken's whirlpool to escape mummies either?
You use what you can to escape a bad situation. It just so happens that enhanced marchers work well against this one spell.
Pharaoh has a pulsing ministun it would prevent the key/homecoming stone. The point is, you can attack the mummies to release yourself; it was the original design method to escape. Not every hero can blink(incombat) however, every hero has access to Enhanced Marchers or Assassin's Shroud. Being able to phase/stealth through the mummies/cogs without taking damage and/or escaping the trap is hopefully an over site.
