    Warlord

    yay, my first hero =D.

    kinda boring... yeah i know... but well. just comment a little T_T

    here it goes =D

    CHANGELOG:

    5/13/2010: removed "wild arena", "Coalition Blow" is now ultimate and damage is caped at 1600, damage is now phisical. Added Offensive Tactics/Defensive maneuvers skills.
    5/23/2010: Added image, battle call now can be used on allied as well .

    story:

    Experienced fighter retired long ago, with the hellborn rising and treatening his homeland and his precious world, the warlord once again rises into this fierce battle to help the legion with his decades of experience, the warlord can inspire any warrior with the will to fight.

    Battle Call
    Target: single target, non-boss unit
    mana cost: 150/130/110/90
    cooldown: 15 sec, all levels
    Duration: 7 seconds
    effect: target unit will get +20/+25/+30/+35% base damage bonus but will get -2/-4/-6/-8 armor and -1/-2/-3/-4 magic armor
    Offensive Tactics/Defensive maneuvers
    Shared cooldown
    mana cost: 140/130/120/110
    Cooldown: 20 seconds all levels

    Offensive tactics:
    apllies "battalion" buff to all units in 500 AOE around the warlord for 6 seconds

    Battalion: as long as 2 other allied units are on 500 AoE range this unit will gain 3/5/7/9% Mov speed and 15% bonus base damage.

    Defensive maneuvers:
    apllies "resistence" buff to all units in 500 AoE around the warlord for 6 seconds

    Resistence: as long as 2 other allied units are on 500 AoE range this unit will gain +3/5/7/9 armor and all debuff durations are reduced in 50%
    Warlord's Presence
    Skill tipe: Aura
    Range: 800 range
    Effect: allied units in range will get +10/+15/+30/+40 atack speed while enemy units will get -5/-10/-15/-20 atack speed.
    upon activation: range is reduced to 0
    Coalition Blow (ULTIMATE)
    Target: Enemy Unit
    Range: 600
    Cooldown: 110/90/70
    Mana cost: 200/300/400
    Effect: Deals phisic damage on target based on how many allied units are near the warlord when cast. base damage is 100/200/300 + 30/45/60 damage per non hero allied unit + 50/100/150 damage per allied hero nearby (if there are 5 creeps and 4 heroes nearby then coalition blow deals 450/825/1200 damage, if nobody is nearby then 80 damage is dealt) 1600 damage cap
    i know, there's no beautifull images to demonstrate each abillity but the concept is simple, please vote and comment =D

    Damage bonus from ulti is a bit much if it applies to allies as well.
    Warlord's passive aura seems it could be better < it will die out if the game lasts long/late game.
    The "Coalition Blow" is a bit random, if you're trying to make this hero who just has abilities that affect everyone, - seems to forced IMO.

    So far I like the ultimate, holding vote.

    well... the concept of the warlord is "more is better" his role in the game is to grant some advantage on team fights, but pretty useless in 1x1, coalition blow is the same idea as "united we stand" a large army is suposed to deal much more damage than a small one, that is the concept of coalition blow, "everyone hiting the same target" (i supose it should be single target maybe...)
    Numbers of course arent the point here, the concept is of most importance, ulti may be too strong and aura may be too weak but once its balanced what do you think?

    edit: hmm... battle trance from troll warlord is 100 atkspeed for 5 seconds in lvl 3 (ultimate) while warlords presence is 40 neverending that also slows the enemy team (60 total diference, almost like hyperstone in the entire team...) how could that be weak, for a normal passive you could max on lvl 7?

    His first skill can be used by griefers to kill off teammates as can his ultimate. Also you should cap off the amount of damage the blow does. What if it's a push with 10 creeps and all heroes?

    I think its a good concept, but im no fan of "more cages" , or caging skills, we have a few already that would lose its uniquess, i would change the Wild arena. Maybe rethink concept, to not "summon an arena around you" but maybe buff/debuff everyone , turning the battlefield to an arena.

    also the Warlord theme invokes heavy WAR around him not Gladiator stuff like an arena. Coalition blow seems like a great ulti, to use also. have a Blaphagor and his 5 creeps, a hero with puzzlebox, tempest with minions, and bam!! you deal a Sh*t load of damage i LOVE IT.

    also does bloodcrazed. its the same mechanic, but you dont see people using bloodhunter to kill allies.

    YEAH! Now we are talking, now i can see this guy "leading" comrades to battle. Numbers are still a bit off, too much MS gained through both skills, can get to 50% almost, thats kinda a lot. but i like his concept, his skills.

    I imagine him as a heavy knight in armor chargin through the hellborn army.

    WOW thanks for that image! thats exactly what i was looking for =O (ok, not at all, but the horse is a nice add xD)

    i dont get it... 50% ms?? only offensive tactics buff MS and its 9%.
    i think you misunderstood it, the buff stays active ONLY if there are at least 3 units together, if there are no allieds nearby so the buff is canceled imediatelly, but offensive tactics isnt an stacking skill, the buff starts at 9% and stays at 9% with 3, 4, 5, 10, 100, 500 units. but still, its a great buff to push lanes or on team fights think of it as hammerstorm's galvanize with some requirements.

    OOOOO! Totally misunderstood i thought it was 9% PER allly, i was ZOMGSOPOWERFULL.
    Ill vote your dream, i have mine in dream be sure to check it out, and soon ill have revision1 ready, i might rework the aura.
