Thank you for all who came out to this tournament, we know for some it was a long drive and we appreciate your time. I believe for a first it was a good turn out and I hope it was fun. Please let us know what you thought on the forums or by PMing. We hope you all enjoyed it and had fun not just winning, but being with people who love HoN just as much as you.
For those of you who missed out on the action dont worry we will be having another tournament in the near future (Id estimate July 10th - 20th) and hopefully we will have even more teams competing for the top prizes. Get a squad of 5 or show up and we can arrange a team for you to have some great HoN fun.

TOURNAMENT
Scorpico Multiplayer will be hosting a HoN Tournament coming soon. More details will be available as more people become interested. Scorpico Multiplayer is located in Miami, Florida, and we want to get as many people interested in HoN and in the LAN center as possible. I realize the popularity of Heroes of Newerth is not as large as in other places, but we want to get everyone interested and build a stronger HoN reputation.
How To Register
Interested? Email dubs@scorpico.com and we'll add you to the pool of interested teams. The buy in will be determined by the amount of people and teams we get. The more teams we get the less will be charged per person. Bring your friends, and it'll cost less!

Brackets depending on number of teams.
5v5.
Banning pick.
Double elimination.

Prizes
Cash Prizes and Merchandise will be up for grabs. The amount will be based on the number of teams and people that enter in. More people more prizes!
Rules
No Ancient pulling to lane on either side. Pulling regular creep spawns is allowed.
No use of glitches (i.e. dupe methods that haven't been patched.) Questions on these should be brought up before attempting them in game. Kongor glitches are a good example.
Sharing of healing items is allowed. Bottle may only be transferred between teammates for a short period. It may not be given for long periods of time. Doombringer pooling is also forbidden.
Blocking team creep spawns with abilities such as Behemoth's fissure is forbidden. This does not include the opponents creeps when attempting to take a tower.
Entering the oppositions base without a creep wave is NOT allowed. The creep wave does not have to be in the same lane as you.
Maximum of 2 (of each) Astrolabe, Puzzle Box and Ring of Sorcery per team.
Backdooring is limited to the outer towers. Meaning the first 2 towers in each lane. Allied creeps must be present in the enemy base in order to backdoor base towers. Example: If top lane is being pushed, you can move to middle and bottom lane to attack buildings and towers.

I would definitely love to be there. I have a couple of friends who could play but I'd have to train em a bit and then find a couple more people >.<.
Would there be a venue fee on top of the tournament entry fee or would it be free to show up and maybe spectate if I can't get a team?
Also, any staff working at the event should dress up asor maybe
Spectating would be fine, and I'm sure you'll probably even get to play online or just with others who just showed up to watch. There will be no charge to spectate, but if you love HoN as much as I do, watching wont suffice. There's plenty of HoN to go around so show up and bring your friends!

Yes email will definitely be the best way. You can PM me or email dubs@scorpico.com. I will also use this post to remind everyone of the date. It is June 6th, Sunday. The time really doesn't matter since we are gonna HoN it all day, but we open early, so the longer you are there, the longer you get to play. The tournament will actually start once we get all the teams in and ready. But if I had to put a time, Id say anywhere from 1-2 the latest. Even if you don't have a team, show up and hang out. It'll be a great time with great HoN to watch and people who just love it. Once again the date is June 6th, Sunday. SEE YOU ALL THERE!

I am registering teams now for the tournament. Please email me your team's name and its members. If your team is not full but you plan on being here also let me know and I will help you guys set up a full squad. This Sunday is going to be alot of fun. I'll open up the LAN center at 11 and we'll be HONing all day. The tournament should hopefully start around 1 so please be there relatively early. The lan center is in a shopping mall so theres plenty of places to eat and relax during the game breaks. Ok hope to see you all soon!!

Damn, missed it. Someone I played against told me that there was going to be a tournament like a month ago, but by the time the game ended I forgot the name of the website. Turns out this is it! XD

Haha I saw a bit of that. That is strange on paper I would take the top team. You guys dont even have an AGI hero! Also wikkedpink dealt out the damage. I think she was 22-6 with pyro? nice.
