Torturer was ported directly from DotA's Tormented Soul with one exception: the Impalement received a 25% nerf! Here are the two spells:
Deals 9.375/18.750/28.125/37.500 damage every 0.25 seconds for 8 seconds, total of 300/600/900/1200 damage.
Tormented Soul DIABOLIC EDDICT
Deals 12.5/25.0/37.5/50.0 damage every 0.25 seconds for 8 seconds, total of 400/800/1200/1600 damage.
Even in its original form, this spell was very situational because the damage was severely hampered by nearby creeps and the high armor of heroes late-game. I suggest buffing the current damage of Impalement by 33% so that it remains at least as useful as its mirror spell in DotA.
In hon it doesnt require stopping to cast it, which imo is a huge buff.
The AOE radius needs to be halved imo,
its useless half the time as is due to hitting creeps so often
The bigger nerf was when his chains stopped hitting fog/invis heroes...
Torturer is a dieted down version of a medium-power hero. This would be a step in the right direction to bringing her back to her former glory.
edict is reduced by both armor and magic resistance.
is this the case with tormenter? if not... the damage might be comparable.
I don't really think it needs a change. It can hit buildings which is quite useful agaisnt towers and if your alone it can do heavy damage to anyone trying to gank you in melee.
Of course the numbers need to be the same as DotA!
