Thread: Remove shopkeepers
I feel that the shopkeeper images are a waste of space for me, I wanted to get rid of them for some time but was lazy to look at the s2z to change it, but here it is now.
What does it do
Nothing major, it removes the Shop keepers images from the top of the shop so that you have more space when it's open, screenshots below:

Installation
To install, put this file into the games folder game/ folder. The default locations for these are:
Linux: /home/<username>/HoN/game/
Windows 7: C:\Program Files\Heroes of Newerth\game\
Windows Vista: C:\Program Files\Heroes of Newerth\game\
Windows XP: C:\Program Files\Heroes of Newerth\game\
Mac:
1. Press Finder
2. Press Applications
3. Right click 'Heroes of Newerth', and press Show containing files
4. Open Game folder
5. Move file here

??? The "shopkeeper" was already removed with version 0.1.2x.0?

Don't know what you are talking about as I was not here at that time, what I removed is the image from the shopkeepers in the shop ui as you can see in the screenshots, as far as my installation they were still there without the mod.Originally Posted by monteyuma

But seriously that would be a good mod for beginners.
they have a mod with the item names under. which helps. at least this way you can get accustomed to what the item looks like AND know what it is in dota.
Really strange... I don't have any mods and I never saw "the shopkeeper" since a few versions ago.

Pretty lame removing the "shop keepers" That concept art is brilliant and it gives a bit of personality to each shop.
I agree the art is nice, and no one forcing anyone to use this mod, if you want it to stay just don't use it. I for one like my interface simple/small, and this mod does just that.

I know, it's just when you think about the effort the concept artist has gone through to do all that. There would have probably been one concept artist assigned to doing the shopkeepers. I am sure if he/she saw this mod they would be a bit heart stricken.. I know I would be anyway.
Anyway I realise why it is here for the end gamers etc etc, and I am very jealous of people like you who manage to create Mods. I am hoping there are more to come. Keep up the good work Barter
Well, this is a mod for those who like minimalism I suppose. I wont get it though, as I really like the art of the shop keeper images.
