Well, that must be the problem. The default Java LookAndFeel (the appearance that Swing programs has) is controlled by Oracle, and they maintain it. On this 0.9.9.9 I completly removed any modifications on the LookAndFeel. No font change for better readability, no nothing. Maybe this is the same issue around ScytheRyder's end, because the error is that the default LookAndFeel (maintained by Oracle) is crashing.
how do I fix it?
I don't know either. You can try unistalling that font/theme changer, if you have one.
I fixed it All I did was change back to my Default windows 7 Theme because I was Using a custom 1 it must of broke it
One thing is to change the Windows Theme to an official one, another is using a custom built theme that was installed by a third party software. Your case was the first or the second?
I changed back to an official windows 7 theme and that allowed me to use to manager. I will probably remove the custom one that I have one now and go back to the other one that I had it allowed me to run the modman.
xUI Compatibility Mod doesnt work with your mod manager ... need this to get some mods working with xUI.

(right above the compatible mods list)
Well, I got no reports from mods not working, as I have already fully debbuged this manager, and the output between this and the other ModManager is exactly the same. I use some of those mods myself. I was using xUi about a month ago, when I asked him what was the problem.
Yes I was also using xUI worked fine for me.
read... its not about xUI, but xUI Compatibility Mod which tells the manager to load some mods in the list after/before xUI. when i got this mod enabled, the manager says "applying mods" and nothing happens. progress bar doesnt move at all.
xUI itself works perfectly fine.
Wow, thank you for your report. Now I know what is going on. I found out the bug. The first manager's sorting method is quite old, so it has been replaced with a new one, which in this case was throwing this error (StackOverflowError), and thus the program was hanging. Just made a simple 5 minutes sorting method that should not give us errors anymore =]
I started this project without much programming experience, and there are lots of errors in this software =\ It's now fixed, and this will be released in the next version. Hopefully this was the last of the bugs!
hm... if you got bigger plans for your next release, cant you just release a nightly version with that fixed sorting algorithm or stuff?
I get the error;
"The file C:\Program Files (x86)\Heroes of Newerth\game\resources999.s2z(access is denied) wasn't found, so the mods couldn't be applied."
Whenever I try to apply any mod, but the other mod manager works just fine, I'm trying to switch to this once because of a mod that require it but it won't work.

I have that, but it can't access the file resources999 because "another application may be using this same file. Close it and try again."
But I don't have anything else open?

HoN must be running on your computer, or another ModManager. There must be another process using that file, Anti-virus, I don't know. Try restarting your pc (or even logging off then on) and just open the Manager and try to apply. If that doesn't work, try pausing the anti-virus software.
