Nice! Modman works in mono, but a more compatible mod manager would be great.

Also, since it's cool to bug you about program languages; Why aren't you writing it in haskell!?

Don't even start Hideous. They picked Java, so deal with it.

The fact that this wasn't written in Fortran just burns my ass.

I can program in java well, but i'm really moving into C#, it is a lovely language to program in, very powerful and nice UI if you into Microsoft .NET stuff.

We are also going to translate to all main languages. And if anyone wants to translate to their own language, it's also possible =]

We are 3 people working on this, but Mizu, one of us, just disappeared. We don't know what happened to him, he helped us so much and just vanished. We delayed the release because the work has stopped, he was in the half of a job to make the first release and we are giving him some time to appear, while we improve, correct, change and think again about other things.

    Basically, it's missing 3 things:

    - The interface is incomplete. The look is already done, as you can see in the image below, but it's not correctly working, because we've change a lot in the core and the interfae waasn't updated yet. It doesn't handles all exceptions yet.

    - We are going to re-visit the core to improve the legibility of it. It's not going to make any difference for the outer classes in the circle, but it will let future developers to join more easily.

    - The saving feature (options) it's not complete yet. We need it to be really good so we can Sync options through the internet, if an user wants to do so.

Edit: Forgot to post the image

wtf, this in-forum-forum-picture thing really confuses me
but the program itself looks good
when in doubt, leave it out

Ok, the real problem now is the interface. The guy that was making just dissapeared, we are waiting for him. The rest is done. Now the interface gotta handle all exceptions and we could release an alpha, but we need that guy =\ Mizu where are you?

Can't you make the interface yourself?

I'm the worst guy on the planet to do such thing. The other guy it's going to handle it and I'll solve the saving options feature. I think within the next week an alpha version will be relased. We'll need a way to make the Manager auto-updatable. I'll think a way to do that too.

Let me know if you still need a hand with the coding. Im 5 months away from completing my education in programming and have worked alot with object-orientated programming and especially java and xml.
Now that summer holiday started i got alot of spare time, and my fingers are itching for projects :P - so dont hesitate to throw me a pm if you need a hand .

Anyways great initiative and great idea. Seems to come along great.

My only concerns is if it would work with proxy that requires authentication.

Probally not in the first releases. First we build solid base, then we add some columms, paint, furniture and then decoration.
