I would really like to have a range indicator when selecting a spell. For example, when i press ''Q'' for a certain spell with 700 range, a circle appears 700 units around my hero so i have an idea how far i can cast the spell. (like in League of Legends, another dota-like game)
keep up the good work!
this would be great!
Same thing for a aura! Enable or disable a aura (or creating/picking the item) will create a indicator, that fades after 3 seconds out, so you can see how big is the range!
I would vote yes for this, but there is no poll. Needs a poll, read the sticky.
I vote a load NO.
Taking something skill based(such as deciding whether or not you are in range of something) takes great skill and that is why League of Legends removed it, since LoL is a childrens game rather than a competitive AOS style game.
If you absolutely want a range indicator then write a mod that shows it.

Wow
Try to think of spell range indicator as a gun.
You have that gun.
Your opponent have that gun too.
Does that make things easier?
No. It just makes it harder, challenging and requires even more skill for you to win.
BTW, I'm against putting spell range indicator in HoN as it would raise the skill level of players playing this easier-game-than-LoL game.

OK. I knew that post was gonna pop up some confusions, so here it is.
Try to think of HoN as a sniper battle
Try to think of spell range indicator as a sniper scope.
You have a scopeless sniper rifle.
Your opponent have a scopeless sniper rifle too.
Now both of you attached the sniper scopes to your rifle.
It makes it easier for you to spot and hit the enemy now doesn't it? But that also can mean that the enemy can now easily spot and hit you too.
Does that make things easier?
No.
It just makes it harder, more challenging and will require even more skill for you to win.
Putting spell range indicator in HoN has the same effect as the example I stated above.
BTW, I'm still against putting spell range indicator in HoN as it would raise the skill level of players playing this easier-game-than-LoL game.
