I am surprised this isn't a sticky somewhere, but basically I am looking for help for a completely new player. I mean the tutorial is pretty nice and gives you the basic concept of the game, but doesn't really prepare you playing a game, even on the newbie level.
As someone who has never played dota, it's hard to pickup the game just from watching others.
From joining a match, to the banning/choosing phase, to laning, to choosing items, once you complete the tutorial you are left open to the rage of veterans. Hopefully I didn't come off as complaining, just looking for a guide for the complete beginner.
