I know there are better ones out there. Thoughts?
Nomes is unecessary. Also wouldnt list Bracelets as Core (she can do without).
Sheepstick doesn't fit her, add Behemoth's Heart to Luxury instead. Barbed Armor is also smexy.
She can use all types of Boots (Post Haste prolly the least), so not much to say here.
Overall it looks pretty correct. Though SacStone should still be listed in Core imo, you will get one almost every Game.
I think that plated greaves should be gotten on another support if possible. One of her innate advantages over other heroes is her speed. Personally I go for :
Core :
Ghost Marchers
Power Supply
Void Talisman
Storm Spirit ( Or I'll just get a manatube and get sheepstick later )
Situational :
Helm of Black Legion
Sac Stone
Shamans Headdress / Barrier Idol
Behemoth's Heart
Barbed Armour
In general I would say just build her like a tank. Your main aim is to survive in team fights to keep your ult as long as possible.
i don't get sac stone at all on my defiler (just takes too damn long, sustainer too expensive compared to my bottle xD), my build is pretty much the same as OP, but no powersupply or bracers, some hp then void talisman or barbed armor depending on lineup, it usually works out pretty well.

If no one else on the team is getting Nomes, go for it.
If no one else on the team is getting Plated, go for it.
Both add survivability and pushing power.
People often underestimate how tanky you can get with support items. I would even say to get Astro and Barrier depending on team composition.
I'm still not convinced on sac stone. You get more stats and utility out of so many other items.
you start off with
wards or courier, 3 minor totems, 1 rune, 1 health pot, 1 mana bottle. (you need wards or courier even if you solo mid, because your teammates obviously won't buy them...)
i've seen sac stone being AWSOME on electrician once he gets a few charges... but defiler doesn't need that much mana regen, nomes + bottle is usually enough.
Something like this for the fast Bottle is decent.
If you are up against someone of equal Skill / a strong Mid (),
I'd rather advise 2x+3Int 2xTotem 1xBlight 1xHealthpot though.
:VoidTalisman: (mentioned up there somewhere) is also a strong Pickup for her, yes.
S_SienZ pretty much hits the Spot anyways. I like PlatedGreaves,
but you should have another viable Carry for them and can go for GhostMarchers then.
BarrierIdol is also a pretty good situational Pickup;
Though I'd usually prefer to just get Headdress and Idol on someone else.
arcainic: If SacStone "takes too damn long", learn how to rice.
It's not your Job to buy a Courier. If noone else does, so be it, but we won't assume it.
Musikaman: SacStone provides very nice HealthRegen + HP and all the Mana you'll ever need.
Should you ever die, you heal your Teammates and will probably win the Teamfight still.

sheep stick is good on any hero that isn't a hard carry
if you're not going sac stone or nullstone (or storm spirit lol) get a sheepstick, it solves your mana problems
and honestly sac stone isn't that great (in general i mean) unless you're dominating, in which case any item would work fine
sure but if you play MM or pubs you either have to buy courier or head back to fountain for that bottle. and wards would probably prevent a death at a the sidelanes.
Yeah, I'm still not sold. Sac stone provides no stats. There is a hell of a lot more to survivability than health and mana.
Nomes = Stats + Armor + Heal
Sheep = Stats + Disable
Stats will increase your health, mana, attack speed, and attack damage.
I think I'm gonna go play around in practice mode a bit.
sac stone does indeed own when your owning...
Plated is better with Shamans (better synergy) rather than Nomes.
Apart from that it's pretty much fine.
Oh, and skip the Bracer (you already have +6 to all from Plated + Battery)
Playing Defiler as a support/pusher (Nomes/Plated) is actually a pretty solid build. Still, usually those items are best used on your main support character (Shaman, Accursed, etc.), and there is no benefit in purchasing both. Most play her as an int carry/tank, so rushing a Sac Stone along with Enhanced Marchers (stacking with her 3rd skill) is usually her core.
get power supply, basic boots, then go for a void talisman against heavy physical teams or go straight sacstone.
