    Addressing the Honcast Livecasting QQing

I work at a radio station where we work with up to a 9 second delay. In order to do this, we have a $4000 delay machine (for lack of a better word)hard wired to a separate buffer so that we can dump the delay in case of swears, etc. Mind you, this is in a professional studio, but putting a high quality broadcast delay long enough to prevent ghosting takes a whole lot of expensive equipment and is so cost prohibitive for an organization like honcast that if they do figure out a working system for live streams I will be pretty surprised.

tldnr it's harder than it looks

P.S. Breaky, if you guys ever want to fly to the east coast, I could set you up with a 3 mic studio to broadcast live from

Mhmm, it's pretty damn hard to get a working (and stable) media delay in place. We've ended up going down the route of a forced buffer with an RTMP handler we've developed managing the push/pull and actual buffering of the stream.
