It would be really nice to have a chat mute function just like you can mute teammates from voice communication.

Yes, cause it's really annoying when they flame you over the mic or their accent.

To stop receiving voice messages from a player in game, select the small 'speech bubble' icon next to their portrait. It will turn red when you have activated it.

To stop receiving text messages, IMs or chat roomt/in game messages from a player, add them to your ignore list by typing:
/ignore add PlayerName

no... its bad enough that half the people that play mute the voice chat and then rage when missings aren't called. Less communication will just make this game worse and worse...

This, but I've had people ignored that pinged the map ridiculously.
You can't kick them, that'd ruin the game.
You can't leave, that'd ruin the game plus your leaver percentage.

Hopefully when the game is released, the download will come with a small manual as well. Apparently playing the game for 2 months isn't enough to figure this out for yourself, or make you curious enough to mouse over the speech bubble by your allies.
