I ported over the model and animations of Lich from Warcraft III into Heroes of Newerth. The animations don't loop very well and the texture isn't very good, but the main problem that's keeping me from completing this mod is that it doesn't seem work outside of practice mode(edit: works now).

The mod is currently using the spell effects from IVaCH's Frost Rider mod. I hope he doesn't mind.

Problems:
Stand animation doesn't loop quite right
No bones which means no item or shield effects
Portrait Looks silly
Death animation looks silly
Texture on the robe fragments a bit
Other notes:
Spell sound effects aren't the same as they are in dota
Voice sounds are a tad quiet

I've changed entity files before, although some people do seem to have problems with it, it seems to be kind of inconsistent. I can try to take a look at the mod if you want though.

Mkay, the reason it isn't happy with the entity file is because you had different values for his attack damage and agility gain, I'm guessing those were changed in a recent patch and you didn't use the new file. Changing the modelscale should be fine. I'll see if I can test it in a replay if I have one.

Yeah all I really did was the entity file change, also make sure the diseasedrider folder is inside of the heroes folder, I think the problem you're having is that your entity file is in a different folder from the original one, so it see's 2 heroes with the same name and it doesn't know which one to use.

Also, I'm not sure how much you know about modeling, but this mod will suffer from the same issue that my Savage2 imports had with effects not appearing from buffs/debuffs unless the proper bones are added to the model and animations.
Also I might work on some effects for this if I can find the time.

Wow!! A full Dota model port.. amazing, even beyond amazing, looking forward to it.
Looks cool. I wish someone would do bloodhunter -> bloodseeker, because it was best looking hero in dota.

How did you port the animations?
Ive tried just about everything with no luck :/
Also like BlackRyu said it will need some bones to be able to work well.
Its not hard to add those bones.
Its just annoying to do because you have to edit every animation too...
