my highest PSR is 1767, recently ive dropped as low as 1730, but I normally hover around 1740-1750. I want to get to 1800, but I play with alot of people in the low 1600's skill range (friends). When I join 1700+ games its usually a 4 lock pub stomp of sorts and its hard to find a good game. When I join 1550+ theres a bunch of smurfs usually so even if I win I get like 1 or 2 points and if I lose I lose 5-7 points.
I know its beta stats or whatever and who cares, but I'm one of the people that thinks PSR is a GENERAL indication of skill. I realize some of it is who you play with, but mostly, it reflects your overall ability to contribute to the winning team.
So since it is so hard to find a high skill game that isn't a 4 lock pubstomp and the smurfing that goes on makes it impossible to know exactly what you're up against, is an inhouse group the only environment for improvement? I'm not ready for competitive play, but can compete with low 1800 players just fine.
Is there an inhouse channel or do I have to join some other clan to improve? All pubs really do for me is help me work on last hitting, but the teamwork and coordination is where I'm lacking.
Also, I don't play any EM
You've played over 700 matches and only six had an average PSR greater than 1700.
That is why you can't climb to 1800, you're constantly playing with/against 1600 bracket pubstars.
I'd say you need to start playing higher-level games if you want to improve, IH or not.
What's wrong with a 4-lock stomp? Find some friends and host your own 1700+ no ab bd/bp games. I have been playing a lot with the same guys lately and we play pretty much anyone who comes into our games. We've gotten rolled a couple times, once by a 1900 ss and another time by some 1800's who were actually 1900+ smurfing (I could tell this by the fact that they had 88% win rate up to 1830psr)

Other than an inhouse try making your own game by putting in an SP or AB mode on it XD This forces the players to play with random people. Also go try matchmaking, even if it sucks once you get to 1700s with it it would become easy XD
Basically matchmaking is made for the solo players out there. Pub games are well pub stomps.
I'm still playing pub though just to fix my stats and get back to 1600s maybe then I'll go matchmaking all the way.
All my friends from previous games are 1600 pubstars though. I seldom go solo pubbing, when I do I try to play 1600-1700+. When I'm with my buddies that aren't quite "there yet" I can't put them against a group of 1700+ cause theyre .5-.8 KDR 1500-1600 players.
Do you know of any inhouse environments with 1700-1800 ish players? I havent done many inhouses... I've done one with LN just to mess around, but thats more of a learning environment for beginners with 1 or 2 people playing pubstomp heros and wrecking everyone.
get 1800+ and join the kings of men or w/e servers (pmuch 1800-2100 psr, bd, ab)
My problem is that I've never had issues finding equal/greater-skill players than myself to team up with.
I know to an extent what it's like to have all pubstars for friends (my DOTA friends with the exception of one or two, are all pubstars) but I've found that try-hards tend to flock together in HoN. I guess either make some new friends or join a clan that's looking to scrim 1700+ etc.
I don't know any groups currently that IH 1700+. Like I said I just play with friends and there are a good number of people in the mix so we occasionally IH.

RawR has inhouses all the time that are 1625+, but typically the average PSR is 1700+ in the evenings.
The problem is that 1700 gained from being the highest psr in the room is WAY different from 1700 gained from being the lowest psr in the room. I'm learning that the hard way.
Very true words. I started to feel this "PSR ceiling" as I call it a couple weeks ago. That's why I started playing higher-level games.
As you can see my rating has been pretty constant over the past few weeks.
My PSR has been fluctuating by about 10 points consistently since I started playing 1700+ games. Pecking away 1 or 2 psr at a time in 1600 games is not going to get me 1) to 1800 or 2) any better at the game.

Some websites parse the mentioned information for us. Lots of interesting stats, I wish I could provide you with a link :P
Nevermind, I found it![]()

KEEPIN' IT REAL SINCE 1990
Since both of you asked, and I only PM'd the first guy, click on my sig. You can sort by any column by clicking the caption once or twice, and click Graphs for PSR graphs.

join 1700+ games, you will eventually find someone you like and who you will continue to play with. When you reach 1750, play 1750+, when you get 1775 then play 1775, etc etc.
If you got a hard time finding games without 4 locks host your own.
RawR is the ONLY larger clan in HoN that has consistently mediocre players with giant egos and terrible attitudes, I would stay away.
I have not met a single RawR member (and i've played with quite a few 17, 180 even 1900+) that was not rated easily 100+ psr over what he genuinely should be.
That is actually a lie, i've met one, however he quit within a few days upon realizing that what i've said is true.

you quiet down, scrub.
oh, and to get better, get to 1750 and then go play kings of men.
thats where all the superpros go to pub, so the quality of player there is well above any other pub u can find.

Lego maintains his reputation as a pubstar by never breaking 1750psr on his main, ergo he can't go get stomped in the Kings of Men games.
