Huh. That seems really cool, buuuut I still don't understand how to use it- their website is verrrrrry vague on this subject. On top of that, it appears that you'd have to keep your wrists constantly suspended, which could be tiring. However, solve the first problem and throw in the ability to use a Right-handed glove with cursor functionality and they'll have me sold. I've been dreaming of these for a looooong time x3 (I didn't know they existed)

really dont see a use for the glove when it comes to HoN. I mean with customizable key bindings mouse and keyboard work perfectly fine. I use a razer mouse and keyboard so anything i really need to change i can go in and change it. So no not buying the glove.

maybe be for other games i could see a use for it, but a game with as few buttons as hon has i just cant justify buying the glove.

as for the cyborg products cool concepts but i just hate how they look, to complex but yet still a raw/barebone look to them

Cool tech is rarely ever worth the price anyways. I'd consider buying this if I still played dota since war3 controls are abysmal but in HoN i can just map my keys properly.

That said, if I played something like Stepmania this glove would be a god send. ****, i'd buy two to play rock band with so that I didnt have to hold a plastic guitar and pretend that it even remotely resembles playing a real guitar (drums are where its at anyways)

When I bought it the money was subtracted right away (of course) and I received an email with my Order ID and a receipt telling me I would have to wait 2~3 weeks (quoted directly from email) "to receive your new Peregrine Gaming Glove"

It has been 3 weeks and some days now and I have yet to receive any notification that it was even shipped (an email with a tracking ID?) so naturally I've emailed their customer support (about 2~3 days go) and have yet to get an email back about my concerns...

I can see that Iron Will Innovations who is trying to change gaming with their product really care about the people who actually buy it... bravo

I've got one on the way and I'll definitely give it a try. I don't consider the price that bad although I think they would sell more at a $100 price point.

I do know they are having some issues with their manufacturing right now and I received two emails from support letting me know there would be a delay in receiving the glove. I'm sure they'll get it figured out and start cranking them out much quicker in the near future.

Ive gotten one of these back when it was bleeding edge (not this company but same concept) and trust me, while the concept is nice, the tech just doesnt cut it. The game i tested it on was counter strike, and it was too obnoxious to use, and it just hindered my gameplay.

Stick with the mouse and keyboard until they can fully realize the brain controller (http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=head-games-video-controller-brain) concept imo.

Looks kind of cool, but the website was way too vague for me to even consider spending that amount of money on it. I might try it out for laughs once it's down to $50 or so, but I think I've played with a mouse and keyboard too often to want to change that.

Edit: After rereading a few things, it actually looks like a terrible disadvantage. You touch every button with your thumb?

Back when I played Worms Armageddon I quickly learned that while roping (basically pressing space really fast) it was extremely important to switch to using your finger on the space key, solely because your thumb just isn't fast enough. It's not a very efficient digit for pushing buttons with. Go on, do a few basic tests:

Test 1: Press the space bar ten times as fast as you can with your thumb, and then with your finger.

Test 2: Press four different spots on your hand with your thumb (pretending you're using the glove) and then press any combination of the QWER keys (pretending that you're casting HoN spells).

In both tests: Which one had faster reaction time? Which was easier to do?

Personally, I'd pick keyboard every time. Sorry Peregrine :( cool concept, but no thanks.

Edit2: Again, this is for HoN only. Something like this might be moderately useful for a game that constantly used 30 different hotkeys. But I've never really played a game like that, ah well.

"A team was built in Canada and the United States. Manufacturing was set up in China."A US/Canadian company moving manufacturing overseas, that's really going to make US/Canadians want to buy their product(sarcasm).

They probably picked one of the worst games to target to sell this product,

"The Glove is way faster. I program my attack commands on my thumb and fingers, and there?s no reaching for a key or looking down to see where the hotkeys are ? I can just touch my fingers... shave a quarter- to a half-second off"What kind of idiot has to look down at their keyboard to hit keys playing a game like Heroes of Newerth?

For most heroes in the game there are only 6 keys necessary to play: the 4 spell keys, the A key, and the S key. All of these keys are right next to each other, the hand doesn't even have to move; but with a gaming glove like the Peregrine, someone not only has to move their fingers, they have to move their thumb as well, and the fingers have to move much more than they would on a keyboard.

The glove is much slower in a game like HoN than a keyboard ever would be.

Anyone seen with such an item like this glove would be mocked by people around them, because they are a fool and were conned into buying it.

edit: just noticed they are asking $149 for the glove, I was assuming it would be in the $20-40 range. What a joke.

That's pretty awesome.

If you take any more than a fifth of a second to press any key on your keyboard, you're doing it wrong.

I figured the point in the glove was to have more keys at hand, for example, having full use of your skill keys, item keys, push to talk keys, and some option toggles, without having to move your hand over to i, n, ', you know, things on the other side of the keyboard. I have no problem dropping $150 on a chance to improve my gaming experience for HoN or MMOs I play, my only problem is the fact that I ordered it 4 weeks ago and it hasn't even shipped yet >.<

15 customizable buttons that I barely have to twitch my hand to reach, fully benefitting from the thousands of hours of experience I have typing on them (120-140 WPM).

There's really nothing I could do with a glove that requires the use of my thumb for every single button I press.

...Still, it does look neat somehow. I'm not sure why, but I get the feeling that I'd like to find a use for one, just so I could try it out.

I bought one. It hasnt arrived but I can tell you I didnt get the 20 dollar discount they advertised.

Anyways it looks cool and I can see it being faster for me. Im stuck with QWER and F as the only hotkeys I can dependably hit fast in a fight. Other people are better on the keyboard than I am so they may not have any need for something like this.

I can see this working very well for me by opening up more usable hotkeys without any effort.
