Castiel, the Archangel
The war of the Legion against the Hellbourne is turning whole Newerth in chaos. agony and pain are punshing the brave and faithfull soldiers of the Legion and Sol decided to sent them help. Castiel, the only angel that agrees with losing nearly all of his divine might to help the dwellers of Newerth, is sent to support the Legion in the War against the demons.
Is he able to turn this fight?

Castiel creates a life bond between him and a hero of his choice. If the hero chosen is a an allied hero, he shares his suffer for amount of time. If the chosen hero is a enemy hero, Castiel lets him suffer his own suffered pain.
The duration and strength of the bond grows with grade of the skill.
The duration is 5/7/9/11 seconds, if the hero is an ally, if it is an enemy of Castiel the duration last 4/5/6/7 seconds.
The damage transferred is 15/30/45/60 % of the damage done to the allied hero or inflicts a amount of damage to the enemy hero done to Castiel. The damage is true damage.
Max range of the bond is 1000
Cool down is 30 seconds

The blade of justice
Castiel holy sword bounds his pain in punishment, releasing it at will.
Effect: Every time Castiel suffers damage, he focus his pain and releasing it at the next swing with his sword. Doing amount of damage equal to the damage taken, as long he can hold the pain.
Castiel deals 10/20/30/40 % of the damage taken as true damage on his next attack.
The buff last for 2/3/4/5 seconds after the damage was suffer or released by his next attack.
Castiels charge
Castiel charges in an direction of his choice in a straight line. Letting him ignore all allied units and trees on his way. If he hits one or more enemy units, he knockbacks that unit/s along his way, damaging and slowing it, before passing it. If Castiel or an knockback hero/unit hitting a blockade like cliff or build (for enemy heroes/units without forest walk, trees counting as a blockade), then they will suffer extra damage.

Gatekeeper (Ulitmate)
Castiel closes the way to heaven or hell for one soul. Leaving him waiting in front of it. The hero stays on Newerth until he may pass the gates or get saved.
Effect of the Ultimate
Target hero stays alive for the duration of 3/5/7 (+2 with staff of the master) seconds. The chosen hero can still acts normal, as if he still alive. If he suffers damage above his maximum life and not healed up again, he will die at the end of the duration. At the end of the duration, the damage taken by the hero, even if it is above his maximum) is released among the heroes around him, inflicting 50% damage taken by the chosen hero to the enemys of Castiel and healing 50% of the damage allied to Castiel within range. The chosen hero suffer no future damage or heal of Castiels ultimate.
Castiels ultimate grants 2/3/4 armor if the target is an allied hero or himself, if the target hero is a enemy hero he suffers a -2/-3/-4 armor penalty.
The radius of the effect gatekeeper is 500/600/700
The damage done is Magic damage
Castiel may open the gates at anytime at will again.

Castiel can be played as an supporter and/or tank as well as beeing a Carry.
For supporting and tanking he have to get good life- and protectionitems. His strength in this way is to save his allies with his first ability to let them get lesser damage.
He can support them in ganking with his charge, escaping with this skill or saving mates by pushing back enemys.
His second spell is lesser helpfull in this build.
His ultimate can be used to save friendly heroes,, healing the whole team or start a teamfight/ dealing great aoe damage with it.
For carry build he have to get good hp too but also damage.
his first ability can be used to protect yourself or getting damage on yourself (for second skill) by casting it on friend.
Ulti can be used with first skill to drain the damage to the target of ulti.
I think this hero have a really new way to work, a great potential and nice synergies but also there a good ways to counter him.
This hero isnt to easy to play (as he need to be interessting), the numbers can easily be changed to balance him. He would do a great job for the gameplay of HoN in my opinion
