Catharsis
A melee strength hero oriented towards foresting and roaming.
Story
"A once peaceful monk who was abandoned by the legion to the scourge of the Hellbourn. The monk's long overdue emotions poured out as he laid dying, creating a monstrous living hatred - Catharsis."

Essence Drain
"Catharsis becomes more powerful with each successive kill, adding to his movement speed and regeneration."
Passive
For each organic unit killed by Catharsis he steals some of there essence, apply one stack of "Essence" to Catharsis. Lasts 15/20/25/30 seconds. Each additional stack of "Essence" resets the duration. When the duration ends "Essence" deplete by ((.5*("Essence" stacks)*sqrt(time))% every second. Heroes killed by or within 300 units of Catharsis permanently add 1 stack of Essence to Catharsis, persisting after Catharsis' death.
"Essence"
Max 100 stacks
If purged the duration becomes zero (starts depleting)
All stacks removed on death (except the ones gained by Hero kills.)
Increases Catharsis' health regeneration by 1/1/1/2 points.
Increases Catharsis' movement speed by 1 point.
Exsanguinate
"Catharsis guts his enemy slowing there movement speed and causing them to bleed profusely."
Targets: organic, enemy, neutral
Mana Cost: 90
Range: 400
Cooldown: 40/35/30/25
Applies the debuff "Gutted" to the target for 6 seconds and deals damage equal to 1/1.1/1.3/1.5 multiplied by Catharsis' stacks of essence.
"Gutted"
Slows target by an amount equal to your Essence, with a maximum of 27% decreasing to 0 AFTER 6 seconds.
Causes the target to bleed for .5/1/1.5/2% of his health per second.
Decreases enemy life regeneration by 45/75/105/150% (causes negative regen)
Anguish
"Catharsis causes his target to share his anguish, draining their mana."
Targets: enemy, heroes
Mana Cost: 0
Cooldown: 120/110/100/90 seconds
Range: 650
Cast time: .3 seconds
Causes the target to lose 4/6/8/10% of there mana per second until they have an equal percent of mana to (2/1.7/1.4/1.15) * % of Catharsis' mana pool. If a target loses more than (22/27/30/35)% of there mana pool they will become silenced for 3 seconds.
(IE: If Catharsis has 30% mana, Anguish is rank 1, and the target is 100% mana they will lose 30% of there mana and become silenced for 3 seconds.)
Malaise
"Catharsis' mere presence causes distress to the enemy."
Mana Cost: up to 50% of mana pool (minimum 33/27/20% mana)
Cooldown: 160 seconds
Channeled for 2 seconds before it takes effect. (Interruptable.)
Targets: enemy, neutral
Applies the aura "Malaise" and the buff "Death Wish" to Catharsis for 11/13/15 seconds. Removes all slowing effects from Catharsis and increases his movement speed by 500% down to 0% over 3 seconds.
"Malaise" (aura)
Affects all enemies in a 500 unit radius with Malaise (debuff).
"Malaise" (debuff)
Afflicted targets take 6/12/18% more spell damage and take suffer the effect of Exsanguinate for 1.16/1.5/2 * its usual period (once applied it lasts 7/9/12 seconds to debuffed enemies.) Enemies in the radius also take damage equal to .25/.45/.7/1.1 damage per stack of "Essence"
"Death Wish"
A buff increasing Catharsis' attack damage by an amount equal to his stacks of "Essence" and causing Catharsis to have 0/0/0/100% armor for the duration. "Essence" do not expire while you have this buff.
Staff of the Master
(buff effects in Gray)
Increases the damage dealt by "Malaise" debuff to .45/.7/1.1 damage per "Essence".
Removes the armor penalty from the "Death Wish" debuff.
Causes the ultimate to consume 100% of your maximum mana pool and return 66% of the mana cost over the duration.
Balance:
Essence Drain:
-Catharsis has a huge potential when he gains large stacks of essence, causing him to become very hard to kill by sustained DPS.
-Catharsis must maintain his stacks of Essence while ganking, which can be difficult.
-A primary part of his skills.
Exsanguinate:
-Primary "nuke"+dot. Potentially dealing (150 instant damage + 12(24 /w ult)% DOT + 150% * regen) of the enemies health.
-Only scaling damage ability.
-Long cooldown and realies on the ultimate to deal significant damage. Can only be cast once under the effect on the ultimate.
Anguish:
-Great for ganking having a silence and a mana drain, although it takes points away from Exsanguinate or Essence Drain. Can potentially help in team fights.
Malaise:
-Potentially can deal alot of damage with enough essence.
-Short range
-Benefits casters greatly
-Good synergy with other skills, especially with SotM.
Changelog:
Added ranges to his abilities. Added channeling time to ult. Added cast time to anguish. Changed how the ultimate interacts with Exsanguinate. Added a possible silence to Anguish. Significantly nerfed Exsanguinate's negative life regeneration portion.
The slow of Exsanguinate didin't make sense combined with the ult. It now does not last the whole duration, but rather the slow expires after the initial 6 second duration. Changed how the slow works and nerfed it significantly.
Reduced the potency of his ult, added a staff of the master effect.
There was an error with his first skill, it gave way to much HP regen I had forgot to change the numbers when I altered the spell.
The idea with this hero is a roamer / ganker with some amount of team fight presence. You can see he greatly scales in effect with each unit kill he has and has the ability to drain mana aswell. The downside if you have to maintain thoes stack of "Essence" so I'd figure it'd take alot of effort to play this hero correctly.
