Story

The brute warriors of the Legion of Man, Savages are dedicated to the rush of battle and the thrill of blood-lust. Armed with a pair of battle-notched blades, The Savage rushes heedlessly into battle, inspiring their comrades to similar feats of heroism. The life of a Savage is often short and glorious.

The Savage 2 savage introduction story, with just notched blades to make him a melee hero.


ROLE
The Savage will, as in savage 2, be a front lines attacker. His style includes powerful attacks and minor support abilities.

Potential Roles: Initiator and semi support.

The Savage has some pretty low STR stats for a STR hero but makes up for it with his higher than average agility.



Abilities

The Savage leaps to the target, stunning all units in the area

Effect: Stuns all units in a 250 AoE for 1/1.5/2/2.5 seconds and dealing 70/130/180/250 Physical damage

Type: Casting spell
Mana cost: 120
Cooldown: 17
Duration: .5/1/1.5/2.0 second stun
Targeting system: Target enemy or location
Range: 400

Double strike is a jumping attack. Also, as a STR melee, he should be able to jump into battle. I don't think the range should be as good as predators either.

The Savage critically wounds his target, dealing damage over time and slowing them.

Effect: Deals 40/80/120/160% attack damage over 3 seconds. Movement speed is slowed by 5/10/15/20% for the duration.

Type: Passive
Mana cost: 0
Cooldown: 12/10/8/6
Duration: 3 seconds
Targeting system: on next hit
Range: Melee

This is an ability to help with chasing and an overall damage quality of life move. Making it a proc sounds like a good idea but I think something more reliable with a cooldown makes more sense for this type of move.

The Savage is filled with a blood thirsty rage which fuels his battle strength but leaves him exposed.

Effect: Passively reduces all cool downs by 0/1/2/3 seconds, increases base damage by 10/20/30/40%, increases Attack speed by 5/10/15/20. Lasts 3/5/7/7 seconds

Type: Self buff
Mana cost: 50/70/90/110
Cooldown: 20
Duration: 3/5/7/7
Targeting system: Target Self
Range: N/A

Decreasing his cooldowns makes the Savage a lot more deadly in battle with his long stun and his battle cry. Not to mention that he will be able to dish out even more damage with his critical strikes since the cooldown will be lower.

With great strength and fierceness of soul, the Savage empowers his allies with a battle cry to make them stronger in battle.

Effect: All allied heroes get +20(30)/40(50)/60(70) HP Regen, + 5/10/15(20) Mana Regen, and + 10/20/30 Move speed for 8(10) seconds.

Type: Team buff
Mana cost: 150
Cooldown: 120/100/80
Duration: 8(10) seconds
Targeting system: Activated ability
Range: Global

upgradable with staff of the masters

It is a team heal over time, a mana replenishment over time, and a move speed buff. Powerful stuff and always a good thing to have.

The Savage critically wounds his target, hamstringing his opponent and reducing their armor.

Effect: Slows move speed and attack speed by 10/20/30/40% and armor is reduced by 2/4/6/8 for 5 seconds.

The Savage is filled with a blood thirsty rage which fuels his battle strength but leaves him exposed.

Effect: Reduces all cooldowns except rage by 1/2/3 seconds, increases base damage by 20/40/60%, increases Attack speed by 5/10/15, and reduces armor by 15% for 8/10/12 seconds.

With great strength and fierceness of soul, the Savage empowers his allies with a battle cry to make them stronger in battle.

Effect: Increases The Savage's HP Regen by 5/8/10/13, Mana Regen by 1/3/5/7, and Movespeed by 3/5/7/10. All allied heroes in a 600 radius of the Savage (including the Savage) get +5/8/10/13 HP Regen, + 1/3/5/7 Mana Regen, and + 3/5/7/10 move speed for 8 seconds.

For easy math, the Savage will get 80/128/160/208 HP and 16/48/80/112 mana over 8 seconds and will have +20 move speed for 8 seconds (Savage gets benefits from self buff and aura). All allied heroes in range will get 40/64/80/104 HP and 8/24/40/56 mana over 8 seconds and will have +10 move speed if they stay within range for the full duration (allies only get aura benefit).

Effect: Increases range to 450 and increases attack speed by 20/40/60/80% with a 30/25/20/15% chance to miss
