Mime
Hellbourne
Strength hero

Role
Mime is a versatile (especially thanks to his ultimate) strength DPS/Support hero. He should not be able to tank effectively.
He should be a really fun to play hero thanks to his unorthodox skills.

Concept
Mime is an insane... Mime. He should be kind of a really fat Mime Marceau, wearing the typical mime black & white make-up.
He shoud also wear a black & white striped top, with black straight trousers and red shining shoes. He should not be able to
talk, only cackling and agreeing silently (without opening his mouth), as Mimes are silent (but remember : he's a mad mime,
so he should still be able to make creepy high-pitched noise, like all mad mimes obvioulsy do).
I insist on the fact that Mime should not be a ridiculous hero, it's absolutely not how I see him : he should be a creepy,
crazy hero, not very far from the Madman.

Slap

Skill Type: Single Target
Damage Type: Physical
Cast Range: Melee(100)
Manacost: 120
Cooldown: 15 Seconds

Mime slaps violently the target enemy in the face. His impressive slapping skills deals moderate damage to the enemy, who remain
stunned while coming round.

Deals 100/150/200/250 Physical damage and stuns target for 1/2/3/4 seconds.

True, 4 seconds is a very long stun. But this skill is what makes Mime a very good support hero. Don't forget that this stun has a 0 range, meaning
that Mime must be really close to the enemy to cast it. This skill is to be compared to Dragon Knight's Dragon Tail skill in DotA : a 3.75 sec stun (at max level)
with a 9 sec cooldown. If you think this skill should deal less damage or stun during less time, don't hesitate and tell me !

Mimicry

Skill Type: Single Target
Cast Range: 1000
Manacost: 50/75/100/125
Cooldown: 20 Seconds

Mime copy the target hero enemy, fooling all of his allies. He is such a master in his art that the copied hero himself is fooled,
sharing every damage the Mime take in a surge of empathy.

For 3/4/5/6 seconds, Mime takes the appearance of the enemy hero he targeted. While in this form, any damage dealt to Mime
will also be dealt to the enemy hero he copied. Mime can only auto-attack, but he cannot be stunned. Upon the use of
any of his active ability, Mime will revert to his primary form and lose the buff.

Mimicry is a really versatile skill. First, it can quickly wreak havoc in a bad organised team. Also, even if the team is really well organised, and use voice chat,
I see 2 other strong uses to Mimicry :
- it's a strong defensive skill, which can be used to flee from a fight or open a fight (notably because of the stun immunity)
- it's a strong ability in teamfight, which allows Mime to fulfill his DPS role : is he uses it in a teamfight, ha can't be stunned for 6 seconds, and if the enemy
heroes focus him during the duration of the buff, they will also deal massive damage to their teammate. Also, still in teamfights, every AoE spells
cast against Mime's team will reflect on the hero that Mime copied, strongly weakening him. The enemy team will thus have to be very cautious.
This skill is really good to establish a certain paranoia is the adverse team. I think this is a really interesting skill, which can have many uses.

Insanity

Skill Type: Passive ability

Mime has gone mad for a very long time. His attacks are disturbingly chaotic and fast, while his
insane cackles grant a speed boost to everyone near the target.

Increases Mime's attack speed by 10/20/30/40%. Also, Mime's attacks apply Irritation to enemy units they hits for 2 seconds, granting a +10% movement
speed bonus to every heroes in a 200 radius of the unit.

This ability is what allows Mime to be a DPS hero, by strongly increasing his white damage output. The +10% speed buff aura gives him a bit of chasing
power, and team utility. This skill is extremely close to Accursed's Sear, but it's because I can't think of any other passive wich could boost the damage output of a strength
hero. I think a +crit or a +fixed damages ability wouldn't synergize well with a strength hero, who isn't supposed to naturally have a high attack speed,
contrary to agility heroes.

Copycat

Skill Type: Single Target
Cast Range: 500
Manacost: 300
Cooldown: 130 Seconds

Mime is such master in his art that he can reproduce the exact same moves than his enemies, even the most powerful.

For 60 seconds or until he uses it, Mime will be able to use the ultimate ability of the hero he targeted for no additionnal mana cost.
If the copied ability is active, the cooldown of Copycat will only start after the ability is used or has expired. Mime cannot use Copycat on the same hero twice in a a row.

This is Mime's signature move. A signature move which, in fact, copy the one of his enemies. Interesting. It is what gives him fantastic versatility. It is what
makes him a beast against heroes with great ultimate (Keeper of the Forest, Chronos, Tempest, Swift Blade...), giving his team the same weapon
than their adversaries. When Mime is picked by a team, he effectively makes it difficult to the other team to chose an hero with a big ultimate. When the
enemy team chose an hero with a great ultimate, Mime will be the obvious counter-pick. I think this keep things balanced.
When copying a passive ultimate, Mime will be able to use this passive ability during 60 seconds, with the cooldown starting immediately, making it an actual
70 seconds cooldown until the next copycat is available.
There is one slight problem with this ability : the "cannot use Copycat on the same hero twice in a a row" restriction must be removed in 1v1 games. I hope
this is technically doable. If not, I'll gladly take any proposition you can give me on the subject about how to make this ability work without being overpowered.
The restriction is here to prevent using copycat twice in a row on the few heroes who have the strongest ultimates in the game, with a really long cooldown,
like Tempest with his Elemental Void (200/190/180 sec cooldown).

Obviously, I'm open to all discussions. Remember : this is just a concept. My numbers could be under or overpowered, and I'm
counting on you to tell me what should need some tweaking. If you have other ideas which could improve this hero, do not hesitate and post them !

Also, considering english is not my main language, know that I'm really sorry if some of my descriptions contain grammar errors or are
poorly written. This is also why I didn't write a bio for my hero : I don't think my english skills are good enough to try my hand at this exercise.

I hope you'd enjoy to play such a hero in the great game that is Heroes of Newerth.

Thanks to Kel_Thalas for his constructive criticism which helped me to improve my hero.

I think this could be a really great hero. I'd really wish to see more heroes like this : an original concept with an original playstyle.

Keep up the good work !

No to this hero and any other hero who has a skill (particularly an ultimate) that lets him mimic another hero's skillset. Honestly, what's the point of making a hero who's entire buildup leads to him pretending he's a better hero?
