Change tiers from noob only/noobs allowed/pro to

Newbies Only (game count under 10)
Normal (game count over 10)
Advanced (level 5, k:d:a 1:1:1 or better)
Expert (level 10 k:d:a of 1.5:1:1.5)

Alrighty - explanation time

Newbies Only (newbies is less harsh sounding then noobs), for people who are new/aren't too good.
Normal for people who know basic concepts of the game, how to build their heroes ect. (10 games at like 30 minutes each is plenty of time to learn how the game works)
Advanced for people who have a good understanding of more complicated thingz, map control, map sense ect.
Expert is the highest level for pubs, for people who are looking for a somewhat competitive game, know how to work as a team ect.

As is the tiers are kinda stupid, my kda is like 2.5:1:2.5 because I'm stuck in 'noobs allowed' games and am a long ways off from pro tier. Getting to higher tiers should be because of your ability rather then number of games played.

Naturally all criticism/comments are encouraged to be shared

Other things are there because they seem to generate discussion :d

Change tiers from noob only/noobs allowed/pro to

Newbies Only (game count under 10 or win under 40%)
Normal (game count over 10, win over 40%)
Advanced (level 5, k:d:a 1:1:1 or better)
Expert (level 10 k:d:a of 1.5:1:1.5)

i am lvl 7 and like k:d:a 1.4:1:1.2 or so + wins ~ 43%
but some days ago same k:d:a but under 40% wins
so i was a newbie? no not really
there are a lot of good gamers who got under 40% wins

Ok, remove win %.

It should not be based on K:D ratio, because different heroes have different abilities and roles to play in a match. 2 players with the same skill but one specializing in a support class and the other in a ganker should not be in different tiers, should they?

Well it also values assists as much as kills. No system will be perfect.

That only alleviates, not solves the problem. Some heroes just aren't supposed to have good stats. A properly played Glacius, unless you get lucky or play way better than the competition, will always have very few kills, very many deaths and not all that many assists either (simply because he is so often the first to die).

Also offering people a reward for kill statistics will give an additional incentive to kill stealing (since 1.5:1 A : D (stupid auto-detect-smiley-face is stupid)is a lot easier to acquire than 1.5:1 K : D) and serves as a deterent for risking your life for the greater good.

The thing is, the kill stealing would put you into only the top bracket and when you're against players who actually DESERVE to be up there from skill... you're screwed. You'll be hiding in the fountain/behind towers or you'll just be trying to gank players who are better than you or play the same way so you never score kills and your ranks start falling.

That's actually more balanced than the way it is now and I'm all for it, but I'd like to see something with the K:D added possibly so people like this one player I saw who was at 1:400 doesn't get screwed by being dropped into a higher bracket when they obviously suck and were stat padded on in every game.

Exactly. Eventually the ksers/stat farmers will either have their stats drop low enough they can't play at the highest tier but their k:d:a will be too high to allow them in the tiers where they stat farmed. Screwing them over.

I know this sucks for people who play pure support (glacius being the more obvious), but I don't see how this can be avoided (unless if you play glacius you have the option of not having your stats counted end game?)

What I'd like to note as players progress, especially upon entering the competitive platform, death will become more frequent, and certain roles will be filled. Supports will fall as carries will try their best to avoid unnecessary death. That's how it is. As you play against people your level, you'll be pressured and thus regress towards the mean (KD Ratio).

The Expert tier will cull Experts back into the Advanced tier.

Players would acknowledge this change in goal (stomping vs. working towards the win), when shifting from the casual warm-up Pub to the competitive scrim.

Every CM player in the world would not be able to play high teir games, as their KDA should be something like 0:3:10 every game.

expert games with that restriction would be crap - like the poster above me already said, no one would play a supporter in those games anymore.

It would develop into Carryshitfests.
