Hero concept:
A hero for the bloodthirsty. This hero excels at control and carrying, but he is very mana-intensive and cannot take a hit without his ultimate and/or some good items. This hero will be very difficult to determine a "best build" for. Even attribute points, which are usually ignored until all skills are maxed, would be valuable on the Berserker.
Story concept:
Abandoned at a young age by his drunkard of a father, the man now known only as the Berserker has lead a tough life. One day, blood on his hands, adrenaline in his veins, wrestling with wild mutts of the city streets over a scrap of food, he came to realize the great love he had for combat. With stories of the savagery of The Hellbourne racing through his head, he threw his lot in with The Legion in the hopes that he finds an entertaining enough challenge. Little does he know the deities of war look favorably on his kind.
Appearance:
Growing up as what was basically a street urchin, the Berserker has long been accustomed to what can only barely be called clothes. However, his life of toil and hardships on the streets has left him both spry and muscular. Though The Legion surely provides some amount of equipment for its forces, the Berserker forgoes as much weighty outfitting as he can. He prefers a simple sword (perhaps a gladius), boots, gloves, and loincloth or something similar.

Skills:
Skill 1: Sock (Active) - The Berserker puts all his weight behind a single punch. Deals attack damage plus a percentage of his health, and pushes back the target (I'm thinking 200/300/400/500 level 1/2/3/4 respectively). Melee range. Pushes enemies through trees and forms a pathway behind them, but does not push over cliffs.
Appearance: Berserker winds up and SOCKS his target with his sword-hand. The target is knocked down (like with the Engineer keg) for the duration of the knockback (which is fairly swift).
Explanation: This is going to be Berserker's main control ability. Punch enemies into your towers or into a gank!

Skill 2: Grapple (Active) - The Berserker launches himself at a target, pushing it back slightly (100 or 200 range, Berserker is "pushed" with it) and crippling it. Deals flat damage (100/150/200/250?) and slows movement speed by a high percentage which gradually wears off. Range of grapple should correspond to the distance a Sock of equal level pushes back.
Appearance: A full-body effort, starting with an olympic long jump, ending with a plant of both hands and knees into the target.
Explanation: Coupled with Sock, this forms a one-two punch of putting someone where you want and keeping them there.

Skill 3: Well-fed (Passive) - The Berserker, never before having known what it was like to actually have a good meal, is finding regular rations by far the best aspect of joining The Legion. His strength is increased by a good amount, and a percentage of his current health is added to his attack damage.
Explanation: Helps the Berserker address one of his weaknesses, his low health, and also gives him a bit of a stronger bite. Good candidate for level 1 skill.

Ultimate: Godly Frenzy (Active) - The Berserker is filled will a bloodlust so potent that he no longer feels pain nor fatigue. Raises health by a large amount. Every attack he lands lowers the cooldown of his skills by X seconds and replenishes Y% damage dealt in mana. He cannot be killed while in this state, but will die afterwards (and award the kill to the last enemy that hit him) if his health is lower than 10% of its maximum when Godly Frenzy wears off.
Appearance: Berserker's sword transforms into a giant battle-axe. He glows a golden-red, and his eyes glow a deep blood red.
Explanation: This is where the Berserker gets his name. Attack after attack leaves his foes dazed and/or dead. However, it does not grant magic immunity, so chained disables can make it completely useless. Requires good support to make the most of it.
