Channel bots

Eventually leagues will start. This game wants to continue DOTA and expand it. I am perfectly fine with that and I support such a goal. One big part of DOTA is leagues. To run a league you need bots. To get bots you need CD keys, to download bot programs, hook up the account to the bot, etc.

I am wondering what the developers of HoN think about this? What, if any, decisions have you reached regarding bots?

Will clans automatically be allotted a few bots programmed by the developers or will players have to get a new cd key and then hook an account up to a bot program?

He's talking about Channel Moderation Bots and those who invite players signed up for that "channel League" (Most likely User created) into games to increase their stats.

the same guy(rdw.) what made the Garena's league bot.

currently, there's a bot to send a whisper for each people what joins in its channel.

i don't think the cd-key will be a problem, since the account is just for hosting the bot

Now i don't even get why you would need a bot to run a league on HoN? since you can already make stat tracking for just that league and make them appear on your website with some coding which probably will be done by S2Games....

So i don't really see why you would need a bot at all in HoN sure a welcome msg that can be done with Channel Topic....

You need the bot to help organize the games, boot people that are not part of the league, kick spammers, afk people, help you track LEAGUE statistics, and from time to time spam important league information.


Also InFecT I am happy that you guys are working towards this goal. Any more specific information? Will there be just one bot allotted to each clan or how will the whole thing work?

Will it be account based? Any info would be nice.
