i started to make this mod for myself primary to kill some boredom and with this i dont have to alt+tab and so...i think its helpfull to beginner players who dont knows what to buy for the heroes

i use the same builds what the website has..there each build have a link to the forum post where it copyed from. go there and discuss if you dont like the builds (or simpli dont use the mod)



If the addon has false item recommendations in it, it is just plain wrong and that has nothing to do with strategy discussion.
Btw what the **** is abyssal skull doing in "core items" ??

cuz you think its not the right item for him its "false item recommendation"? o.O
i think you wont find 2 player with the same opinion about items and i agree that this isnt the right thread to discuss it

And i thought of this mod as more of a for hero X we recommend a starting build of a.b.c, your mid game build of d.e.f, and if ur well farm get g.h.i, but stay the **** away from j.k.l where did the strategy discussion come from ?

thats exactly what this mod made for. there were a little argument but MaxGhost moderated thats why you dont see the posts about it

here's an idea
why not have a button that you can click on say in top right of the window, and it shows you the screen for your current hero

i dunno myself how you would get the players hero but since the console knows what hero you have and such i figure you can get it from there or an associated thing.

It can easily be done. It's actually a one line script that checks the name of the currently selected unit.

I just don't want to see some noobs run around buying wrong items anymore. And such a great addon like this one COULD bring an end to it, if it didn't contain TRASH (yes trash!) items like abyssal skull for nighthound for example.
I don't know all the other items, but I'm just sad if an addon which could have a brighter future ahead fails and I have to suffer because of that :eek:

im absolutely agree with you but im also a newbie player so i dont really know what builds are the best for the heroes. thats why i use the minor totem site for getting builds. but if anyone have better ones post them so i can implement

there are some really gewd guides here on these forums. check the strategy section. the premium guides are usually really gewd, and there are some decent ones in the guide section.

from the patch 1.03 you can allready move them. you have to make them visible in the Moveable frames menu->move them->make them dissapear.

I got this problem too.
Doesnt work right when the resolution is 1280x1024 5:4.
Just tested it.
Works fine on my widescreen monitor which has the resolution of 1440x900 16:10.

i dont know why the width changes. its given in pixels not in percentage so it shouldnt matter what the resolution is:S maybe if i change the font size from dyn_14 to dyn_12 or smaller it'll fix the problem.

It's nice idea to quick buy build. You can also make a separate version, 1st with only the in-game guide and a second with the recommended item. ;)
And don't forget the HD version too ! XD

ETC when you click a hero, various buttons appear over the portrait for the different guides for the roles that hero might be able to play. The little round buttons look sooo ugly, they dont even mean anything at all, they are such low resolution and the square white edges add to the pain.

But otherwise it is an awesome mod and I have been looking for something like this for ages.

i want to make the item pictures clickable in the future so you can buy the items from the guide mod

im absolutely agree i didnt cared about the role buttons just copyed something fast. i'll be replace them as soon as i have time for it.
