Hey, this thread is coming from my previous one http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showthread.php?p=107176#post107176

The general idea is to get a feel on what everyone's doing at the moment.

Why organize?

It saves us time: If we distribute tasks, or at least inform everyone else about what we're doing, we will keep from overlaping each other and will have more time to apply constructive criticism to our fellow translator's work.

It saves S2's time: If we all submit a different translation for, say, Tempest, S2 will have to take the additional time to evaluate all of the translations and pick the one they consider to be the best. Even if they will be supervising and shaping our work, we can significantly lessen the time they will have to invest if we supervise each other and build a solid translation that is widely accepted by the player base.

Working as a group is funnier than working as an individual: Proven fact! We can support each other and relax while translating game as lengthy as HoN.

That sounds nice, what do you propose?

It does, doesn't it? We could roughly divide the translation in 2 different areas with 2 sub areas:

UI - Menus (options, menus, login screens and such)
UI - Chat (everything when you're not either in a menu or ingame)
Ingame - Hero selection (mostly the heroes's backgrounds and skills)
Ingame - Ingame ( mostly item descriptions and heroes's skills)

I don't pretend everyone to agree with this organization scheme, and of course everyone's welcome to suggest whatever they see fit, but let me ask you:

What are you working on right now?

A valid example would be:

Ingame-Hero Selection - Tempest -
Ingame-Ingame - Tempest / All Relic shop items.
UI-Chat - Stats and buddy list!

I'm at work right now, and I've got a couple concerns to be taken care off, but I'll be starting the translation this tuesday.

One more last thing: Is everyone using the GIT tool? It's an amazing asset that can help us a whole lot!

I can contribute with anything you need. I´m a English-Spanish/Spanish-English translator and I have a vast knowledge on gaming terminology.
