$ for gold

I saw a hon match replay few days ago (honcast) and i notice this:
instead of gold numbers (+x gold) for creep kills, a $ appears.

It's a feature only for spectator mod.
Someone can make a mod to use it in-game?

It's not less information if you get to know if the carry you're babysitting is actually getting his last hits in. :)

Oh, you meant for other players... I don't know if that's possible actually.

One way to tell is the way the creep explodes or the sound used when it dies. It's usually distinct for some heroes.
