Actually, a full conversion mod that changes all the models to pokemon WOULD be a welcomed change in my book.
They've done a similar game already on Wiiware, only instead of four attacks, you have 2.

I can model, I can kind of rig, can't really animate.
Could texture it too.
So yeah, I could basically make a decent model with a meh texture, badly rigged.
Thing is I have no idea how to get it into game.

The export plugin is only for the 8 atm because thats what the S2 uses.

Hey, I'm trying to go for a total conversion with Pokemon.
Basically, new heroes with new skillsets, with Poke models and moves. Just creating them so that I actually have a motivation to do work.
I'm not going to bother with changing existing models though so if anyone wants, I can model/animate and upload it here, then someone can make it so that the Poke model changes the ones used by the hero.
