being able to join friends games where someone else left

It would be nice to be able to join games of people on your friends list where someone in their game left. example on vent "hey guys i just signed on are you playing??", "yeah, but someone just left, hurry up and join our game there's 1 minute left before his hero is destroyed.", "ok ill be right there."

you'd inherit whatever bad choices the previous player made with his hero and player stats wouldnt count towards yourself, but at least the game would still be played fairly and not be ruined for everyone. and it's a fast way to play with friends and not sit around waiting for a game to finish.

This seems like a great idea. Any negative impact is greatly outweighed by the advantage of being able to play out the full game with the intended number of players.

Oh, also, friends shouldn't be able to join the slots of players who were kicked. It would give too much incentive to kick your non-friend players (thus giving them leave % and ruining their fun) when your friend finally decides to log on.

You act like it is actually possible to kick players in HoN. As of now I have only ever seen someone kicked once, and that was in a 3v3 match I was messing around in. Teams never seem to want to kick people because they can feed of em.

i've seen kicking plenty of times.. prolly mainly because i join mostly above-average skill games, so people understant the need to kick the occasional feeder.

But i agree, i think it's a great ideea to let someone else join in the place of a leaver or d/c. However, they should not get stats for that game, nor PSR. Would not be fair to join in the last 5 minutes of the game and get like 20 PSR.
