View Full Version : A Good Suggestion? Ctrl+Click on Map to Move (Instead of just click)
Ever get frustrated when your trying to run away/chase to the bottom left and you accidentally click the map and die or let him get away?
Add a field to let us set "Ctrl+Click" on map to move.
I have discussed this with friends (and they would all use it), for the small addition of a field in the keymapping screen pros might not need it but it makes my blood boil and throws me off when i accidentally do this.
Please protect me from myself!!!!!!!
Is this such a bad idea to see implemented?

Why don't you just use your map instead to click to where you want to go, in situations where you are running back to bottom left?
When your in the heat of a fight and you have clicked but your afraid it won't go the distance and you keep clicking whilst trying to scroll the screen you can hit the map and it stuffs you up.
I hear your suggestion, I would have to refocus on the map and figure out where to click (it might be 10 ft left) - And I don't want to have to needlessly think about and "take care not to miss-click" that when i'm half an inch from owning my prey. To click on map I would also have to move my cursor away from my target, again needlessly, hell, its not a problem in any other direction.
I had it again just last game and it was catastrophic. The guys I were chasing with Pestilence, just as they were making it to their base, on bugger all hp, they were mine. But i fumbled and lost them both. Not the first time. And mates second the idea. How many other people are needlessly frustrated by this???
I could hear them laughing at me from the spawning pool.

yeah if you're trying to chase from top base, or run away to bottom base, the mini map if you catch the edge will send you running back to the top base.
I think a better solution than "Ctrl-click" would be to move the mini map. maybe Ctrl+Click and hold to drag wherever you want. Hell, if you have a second screen, drag it there even. :) (There are several posts on this topic)
