View Full Version : Luxury on Deadwood?

What's good? I've recently been experimenting with Shrunken Head, and when it's not a necessity I get Barrier Idol / Sacrificial Stone.
Are there any alternatives? I've never really read guides or watched Deadwood replays.
Oh, and my idea of luxury is anything after Portal Key - Ghost Marchers.

Luxury? How the hell are you farming that much? If you have spare gold between boots, bottle, portal key, stormspirit and wards, you're spending too much time farming and not enough time ganking.
I suppose if you actually do have spare, buying team support items like a puzzlebox or barrier idol would be best.

I've seen Demonic Breastplate and Behemoth's heart both work decently.
You don't get stormspirit on deadwood-_-
Demonic Breastplate + Riftshards is the way to go on Deadwood after his core items.

Daemonic is by far the most important item after you got what you need.

Daemonic Breastplate. No exceptions.

@Extreme_Cake: I get portal key anywhere between 10-20 minutes with him... never really noticed. So you think your GPM should be zero for the next 30 minutes? lol.
I'll try daemonic. Has anyone ever tried Sac Stone? I find the mana and the +HP/MP very useful... but then again I haven't played much Deadwood. Daemonic is so bloody expensive, too.

I think that your opportunities for meaningful luxury items are/should be minimal.

True, I would not get breastplate if nmy got 5 casters :o

I like Sheep. It covers ALL of his mana problems and it scales better than any DPS you could get on him. I play him solely as a ganker, though. I'm not a big fan of the semi-carry builds.
The thing is you wont be farming a lot.. Minor +stats-items, Phase boots, Bottle, Port key, Breastplate(armor reduction for ulti) is more than you should expect in the average game.

Shieldbreaker complements your ult, as well as daemonic.
Puzzlebox is a good addition to increase damage during rotten grasp and team support esp if there is an enemy invis hero
Storm spirit is a good item to ensure grasp is landed on a hero who needs to be disabled or just plainly for mp regen and an extra disable for a cheap cost
Behe heart is extremely situational, but usually not recommended
