View Full Version : Suggestion to Early Re-spawn Charge

With the current early re-spawn charge system there seems to be a substantial gap that players will encounter waiting to re-spawn that sometime to them will seem to long.
My suggestion is instead of having a flat payment based on your level, but a payment that decreases in respect to your re-spawn counter.(Rate*Level*Time Remaining). And knowing how some people like that current one already what if it was made as a game option.
Would like to know if the developers of HON are planning on adding more options like this? if so I have a bunch of more ideas to post, if not its all just blowing hot air :p.

Nice one, this was suggested for DotA as well. As long as the buyback is most worth it if you do it directly, it's all good. I think it needs to scale like this:
Timer start - Full % cost
90% time left - 93% cost
80% time left - 87% cost
70% time left - 83% cost
60% time left - 78% cost
and so on... and when there's only a second left you'd still have to pay 40% of the cost to buyback or something.
Otherwise, if the cost scales like 50% time = 50% cost, you'd always wait for the perfect time to buyback and save as much money as you can.
As it is now, you'd probably never buyback when you have only 10 seconds left (unless you're not superfarmed and every item slot are luxury items), even if enemy heroes are all-out pushing, but with this long awaited suggestion, it could actually be worth it even if it'd still cost a little.

Yea I like that, that way it dose not completely trash the current implemented system.
I though it would be a good idea because its always a pain when the other team pushes into your base when you are dead (I know it is my own dam fault for dying to :p) and you are like 100g away from a payed re-spawn and you haft to wait the hole time. By the time to come back they have downed so many buildings and their creeps are super buffed (and your team starts calling for submission :cool:). But with a decreasing cost u could come back just when they have like only downed 2 buildings or so and can keep the games rhythm going for a counter and push to their base.

Dynamic respawn cost; it's been suggested before.
