would be sick if some one can tell me how to edit models and customize them and what software that would be great or even if some one has made one or is gunna make one that would be cool too!

Hmm I wasn't aware of that :eek:, guess I better remove all of my model mods quick :rolleyes:
Anyways you can currently export models created with 3DS Max 8 (http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showthread.php?t=23225) or import/create models and export them using blender (http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showthread.php?t=65940).

Definitely possible. You just need lots of patience if you start doing something like this.
Ive done some simple model swaps and few totally new models.
Like making new swords for Scout.
Cookies to everyone who recognizes these.
Made them using some reference image from google.
Weapons are really simple to make.
Making human model, rigging it, animating it, making texture.
That takes time...
Especially when you are new to this kind of stuff and we dont really have any pro modelers here yet.
But yeah I guess Ill have to wait untill HoN is released before I can make anything :)
Edit: If you decide to use blender you should read some of these (http://www.blender.org/education-help/tutorials/getting-started/). They will help you get used to blender interface and most of the tools.

Yah bones are really really annoying, even animations in general( for me anyway). theli seems to have it down right. Check the fan media for some taunt animations he did, isn't Hag sexy? xD
If a PC game used DirectX 9 then you can use 3d ripper DX, i ripped Nero from DMC4 this way. From there you have to use 3ds Max 8 to apply textures and whatnot. Then use the S2 Exporter and tada new model for HoN.

3d ripper DX isnt really good solution since it doesnt rip any bones and the model isnt in the rest position making it harder to animate.
You can just download blender and click the import button and then export to .3ds or .obj.
3ds max can import both of them if I remember correctly.

This is what i was referring to - You're asking for software so you've never done this before. This is a hell of a lot of work - if you wait for hon to be publically available you'll see hundreds of mod's fairly quickly.
