I update this every other day or so. I never planned on releasing this but I figured some other people would find this as useful as I have. This is my idea of the perfect transition guide. What it allows you to do is ctrl+F any word and it'll take you to the item or hero HoN/DotA equivalent so that you can transition faster from game to game. I was tired of browsing through multiple stickies and guides to find links to other links, this has it in an easy to read uncluttered format which I'm fairly happy with. There's absolutely no scripting in the document, it's purely HTML. I've also fixed some discrepancies between some guides already posted which I got some info off. If there's anything you notice out of place and/or incorrect I'd appreciate it if you said something.

I don't take any credit for any of the information on here other than formatting it and making it purtiful. I did make an effort to add author's names or link to their posts, if I forgot someone, sorry.

Depending on the response I get this can either stay public or not, I'm fine either way, just trying to give back to the community that's helped me learn so fast.

You can safely download and save the file (which I recommend btw) and still retain all of it's functionality, so that it's usable offline and you can carry it around on a flash drive or something :)

[edit] It seems I was in error when I said that this didn't get that warning. It does, but not for the obvious reason. www.GetDropBox.com is a site that allows people to host files directly from their computer (using an /Public/ folder) which gets synced to their website.

I don't normally use my public link when I can just access the one on my HDD which gets automatically sync'd so it doesn't make much sense. Anyways, apparently some people have hosted some bad things on their computers and has gotten this site flagged. It's not convenient for me to host this file any other way, so if you feel it's unsafe to visit my guide, then I'll respect that and take it as your opinion. However, nothing I'm hosting bad so I'll keep it up unless a mod feels the same.

Right Click > Save Link As... > save it somewhere and it's pretty obvious there's nothing malicious in my page's source. It's most definitely safe to use in that capacity.

It's a shame such a good service is getting that notice, it's no different than any other hosting site like rapidshare or megaupload.

hi all,
just to clarify, dropbox (as far as we can tell) isn't a haven for spyware/malware. we dug into google's report to find that all 100 occurrences originated from a single user who was using dropbox maliciously. unfortunately, he spammed these links all over the internet which resulted in the flagging of the subdomain. that said, dl.getdropbox.com should soon be unflagged (and files.getdropbox.com should work just fine).

we're going to be investigating what means we can use to prevent this type of abuse while not crippling linking functionality for the 99.99% who aren't using the feature maliciously. while the subdomain solution sounds appealing, we likely need to solve this problem at its core. if we don't, the presence of many distinct malicious subdomains will likely lead to the entire domain being blacklisted.

What resolution are you using? If it's small it might get smashed up, you should be using 1280x1024 or higher.

I'm a firm believer in that anything worth using should be fast and within 1 or two clicks. Menus and buttons aren't really my style. The most I'd do is collapse the item list and the hero guides if I ever had a reason to add another section to the guild. If you have a dual monitor, like me, everything fits on 1 monitor, how I think it should.

Updated it, I decided there was too much information, and not enough room. I took all the old HoN -> DotA hero names and put it in it's own textarea so that it's still Ctrl+F...able.

I had to do it because I was running out of room because there's too many guides :D

The text with no formatting is hard to read, so I made the even more sloppy iframe of the patch notes post cuz it's easier to read. I'll strip it all out and format it all pretty-like when I get some time, either than or remove it completely in a few days.

I figured that a lot of people are using scroll bars on my page anyways, so I didn't feel so shy about a huge-ish iframe. Regardless, it's not permanent.

Umm, well I think it would be really neat even if you were just to clean it up a bit. So it didn't look so factory-document like. Whether that's through more colours and rounded edges, or whatever, I think it would do te job nicely.
Essentially, I think it's a really good idea to get this stickied. On the dota forums, the complete list of hero guides has always been stickied, and it would be a great idea to get this one stickied too. And even pssibly get the help of the mods to start workin on it with you if they like it enough.

Went through the laborious process of updating this wonderful tool. Updated the item list, hero list, guide links, added some new misc links and changed the site a little. Tell me if I have made any mistakes. Or if there's a guide I am missing out on, maybe from another site.
