On hiatus until 3/20/10.Got a trip to Japan coming up and I need something to entertain myself for the 15 hour flight. Writing the guide up seems to be a good option.

Hello. This is the more detailed continuation of my Basic Guide which can be found here ----> http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showthread.php?t=73669 <---- If you're new to the game, you should read this first!

In this guide, I'll try to cover the more detailed parts of the game that I feel is necessary for players to acknowledge to become a better player. Keep in mind that knowing the things I'm about to cover is one thing, while executing them is a completely separate matter. Before I start, I want to state again from the Basic Guide to Always look for the best option! The areas for improvement are unlimited, you just have to look for them and be very critical (positive, but still critical) about your own gameplay.

I'd also like to point out that there's going to be a whole lot of quoting from other good guides in this forum since it's just easier for me that way.:D There's also no reason to clutter up the forums with information that's already been covered. I'll make sure to give due credit, and I'm also making it clear that I did no work at all in some of these categories.

1. Laning Tips

a. Creep Pulling

See Senatic's Guide ----> http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showthread.php?t=44130 What a great way to start my guide, giving a link to another person's guide. :D It's a fantastic guide though, I suggest reading it thoroughly. Anyways, read the section on Creep Pulling and then come back.

Be wary of counter strategies when you do this. A single unit (typically a Ward of Sight) on top of where the creeps would spawn will stop the neutral creeps from spawning, making it impossible to pull. You can even plant the Ward of Sights inside the trees, making it an extra hassle to detect even with a Ward of Revelation (need to destroy the trees or bring a flying courier).

When you pull, it's also going to cost your lane partner a considerable amount of HP to circle around the tower with no creeps to tank for him. Be extra cautious of opposing heroes that can tower dive, and make sure to tell your teammate that you are pulling. It's a good idea to push your lane forward a little before you do the creep pull. Let your teammate do the pulling if they're low on HP so they don't fall over dead to opposing heroes, or just don't pull at all.
